Just a quick update on this, got an email from sti racing saying they could do individual sets for £60.90 inclusive. The email took about a week for a response so I dont know what delivery times would be like.

Ok guys, as promised I said I would update you

No response from simon at STIRacing
It bugs me that after 3 emails via the quote asking system and 2 web forms via the contact us section, I have had nothing (and I see that a week is about average )
I dont understand, they are going to be getting over £1000 and yet they cant be bothered to reply..but hey their loss.
So I have contacted japanparts just in case and am waiting for a reply, but nothing yet.
So lets hope something turns up. If not I will take the group buy money, get on a fecking plane, fly to Tokyo and pick up the blinking pedals myself..!!
(or i might dust off that trusty lathe in the shed and knock out some myself )

more updates soon..I promise

Couple more you try Swiss 'Army Knife' I believe them all to be American ranging from $100-$140, worth a go.

Ok, so I got fed up waiting for a reply from STIRacing..

Called Japanparts this morning and spoke to them about the group buy.
They have offered a 10% discount on the listed price of £56.35
See here for the actual item
http://www.japanparts.com/shop/shop....ior+%2d+others
(sorry forgot how to do a proper clicky )
They are getting back to me with a cost for the shipment.
Rough time from date of order to actual arrival in the UK..10-13 days

What I will do is to collect all the payments from you guys, pay for the whole lot myself and get it shipped to me (as it is cheaper that way). Then I will need to sort out how to get it to all of you, without it costing too much.
I guess the only way is to add some more to the cost to allow for UK posting, but unless someone has a better idea.

ALSO just an idea...

Whilst we are ordering stuff from them, does anyone want anything else, cause it makes sense to order it all at once..

Have a look at their site and tell me if there is anything that catches your fancy and I will see if I can include it in the shipment.

PANEL FILTERS!!!!!

A group buy on them would go down really well and Japan parts have them for just £33 as it is.

I'm sure if you could add them to the list then you'd get plenty of action.

I'd certainly take one and I was contemplating the STI pedals.

http://www.japanparts.com/shop/shop....ior+%2d+others

and also whilst I am at an STI radiator cap, cheapest I have seen

http://www.japanparts.com/New_web/SU...Ti/0300905.JPG

Group Buy has been posted on the panel filters

Ok,
Finalising the costs for this GB
Got an email from them this morning stating the costs for a quantity of 20+
(yes I know that there are only 14 confirmed, but I am guessing that there will be a few late entries before this GB is closed )

So the costs:
*003-005-006 <http://www.japanparts.com/New_web/SUBARU/ImprezaGG_GD/1011_003STi/0300506.JPG>
STi POLISHED PEDAL PAD SET FOR M/T Qty x 20 224,000JPY

Less 10 % discount
Add international postage/insurance 22,500JPY
And surcharge for card payment

Total 232,132JPY

Which translates at around £1,163.40
then we may have to factor in customs getting in on the act (but I will let you know if they do ) and then just the local posting to wherever you lot are.
So if I added on some local posting the total per person is....... £62.17

How does that sound to everyone ? Good, cheap, offer of the century, dont care I have more money that God ? Let me know..

Also more importantly let me know if there are any other orders to add.

Just to give you lot enough notice, I intend to finalise this order by end of this week .......

Oh and almost forgot

MMMmmm pink bits...

I'm ok with price.

More importantly, is there any weight saving over standard pedals?
Every gram helps!

I would have thought it would be a virtual certainty that Her majesty's customs and excise will take exception to this.
I would bear in mind it could be a good 20% extra.
The only other group buy i've done from abroad they shipped them all seperately and marked them down for customs...

would tend to agree, shipping them individually would be the way to go, IMHO.

Fair point about the customs getting in on the act
But I am trying to allow for this by roughly putting a cost down on the post.
we save on the whole order of 10% and then there is a single charge for shipment, again a saving. So if HMC&E wants his cut, then the 20% would level out the discount but still makke it cheaper than UK prices.

If on the other hand we get these sets all indivually shipped , we all get a seperate delivery charge which inflates the price above the price quoted.
I will check with the supplier just in case.

And we would also run the risk of individually being shafted on tax.

Remember that who they ship it with takes a "handling fee" for processing the tax. Some companies take a straight tenner, so a tenner each = BLIMEY.

that's a fair point, but it is easier to mark down prices on individual packages than it is a large box of 20 sets.

Ok guys and girls
I am in the midst of trying to sort out the best deal for you. so right now , with the help of CyprusScooby, we will get a good price, whether it is from Rev olution or Japanparts.
Though saying that, if we do get it from Revolution then it might put a spanner in the works with the merged GB on STI panel filters, but hey, it was the STI pedals we wanted first ...right?

Will keep you lot updated as usual

Hi Chris,

Well done for getting this thread really going and the effort you are putting in.

If Revolution match japanparts then I think we should just go for the pedals.

Many thanks.
Ricky.
