I've posted this up in Southern as well now!!

Wilf's father inlaw has a skyline, so he might be able to get a few from their club to join us.

Just got an Email from Jon Bracewell (Scooby Magazine), and they will attend, if it don't clash with any of their dates

Power Engineering is by far the most popular choice, so either I stick to the original plan and wait till Friday for the voting, or I'll phone Power Eng. on Monday to get us booked in.

Nice one Shifty, how about setting the date for about a month's time?, that way, there's plenty of time for each of the clubs to get organised, and for you to be given a clean bill of health

If your leaving it a month, then you should be able to liase with scooby mag to make sure they are there, that would be cool.

How many motors can this place get done in a day though, i have never been to one but i would have expected half an hour per car?

Already done mate, Scooby Mag will be there, depending on the date.

At power Eng., they can do a car in around 15 mins

Off Topic, but why do some pictures show a fan infront of the car when its running and the bonnet up, and some the bonnet closed and no fan at all?? is it to do with what the temp is like that day??

I thought that was to replicate the car travelling at speed, ie to allow ram-air type induction to function properly.

Or maybe its just to keep th erolling road technician cool who knows.

Hello matey.

Late reply. Yes it would be good to see what your pushing out seeing as yours is mostly standard, and there was nothing much in it.
That was quite a blast..

The fans are used to replicate the air flow on a car at speed, keeping the engine cool by forcing air through the rads / intercoolers / oil coolers.

Evo owners are welcome, can't say no really as a few Skylines may show!!
but it's likely that it will be a Saturday, as Sunday is a day of rest

I'll call Tim at Power Engineering tomorrow to arrange a date, possibly the 16 July as there are no events in the ESC calender. Or there's August

sorry urban myth, but it sounds like your taking over the day, so do you want to do.

I'm was waiting on people to decide where THEY want to go, instead deciding for them on where they got to go, especially considering as the venue is still undecided.

Judging by the thread, many want to go to Engine Advantages in Witham, so please decide for yourself whether you will be able to get enough cars to make a viable day.

Cornelius

As I said in you PM. This is your thread. I just think that this is getting a pit split on where to go. I have no intention on deciding here people should go and as ever the majority wins. I just wanted to get a decision if you and others want to go to WRC as Alan & Chris will open up specially for all of use and it would be nice for then to get a answer sooner rather than later.

As I a said this is you thread and I a sorry if you think I and hijacking it. That was never the intention.

Sorry, but it seems to me that you're jumping right in and organising the event, ie calling WRC and setting a date, I only called Power Engineering yesterday and posted up that they aren't available for the next 2 month, and within hours, you have phoned WRC and set dates.

I am intrested, but don`t want to commit till I know date and cost, as I have to work every other weekend, hope you pick one when I`m off!.
Oh, and I`d prefer the Witham one, Silverstone is too far.

What I propose then is that we have 2 rolling road days, Urbanmyth can arrange the WRC technologies day, and I'll arrange the Engine Advantages day, that way everyone is happy.......hopefully.

that's if Urbanmyth don't mind doing so

Cornelius as I said before this is your thread. Just to let you know I did not set any dates with WRC I just made an enquire as to the closes day to the date that was going to be set. They could not do the Saturdays but offered the Sunday and would open up specially for us. All I was doing was offering a date nothing more. To be honest the main reason I phoned them is because I was just confirming that the new ECU I am having fitted on Friday was still on. The RR day came up in conversation and that is when they suggested the Sunday.

As for having two day that is fine. I will post a thread up and see what happen.

For all of you who want to go to WRC there is now a post up for a RR day.

Cornelius I see that you have put down for WRC I hope that you could make both . It would be interesting to if you figures differ from RR to RR.
