Cornelius 01 June 2005 03:09 PM

hello mate, long time no see!!

same here, just had mine remapped yesterday and what a difference!!!!
plus it's got some new toys on it, so it'll be interesting to see if it beats the 253bhp from last time

fitzscoob 01 June 2005 03:17 PM

sounds like a plan mate, get some dates in mind so I can make sure im about :) would be good to catch up with some of you reprobates.

If I remember rightly, did you have an accident with a bacon roll with sauce and your top last time? :)

Cornelius 01 June 2005 03:20 PM

Nope, the bacon roll saga wasn't me, which is unusual!!

Ok, I'll se if there's enough interest, and take it from there

Personally I would prefer going back to Power Engineering if only to get a true indication of what increases has been made, as it was RR'd there last time.

But I will follow the crowd if they change... :)

baz69birds 01 June 2005 06:23 PM

Only £55+vat is that good!!!!!!!!!
count me in if i can afford it later on...

fitzscoob 01 June 2005 10:29 PM

what did we pay last time? £30 or £40 cant remember think it was 30 to be fair.

Stiver3 01 June 2005 11:59 PM

I am definitely in....100%

Although rather do it at Engine Advantages... dont fancy travelling to Silverstone lol....

When is every1 thinking... was on my mind to sort out out 2day....

Rang them and they said the were fully bookd 4 nxt few weeks....

Im sure they may accomodate us however, if we get a few numbers....

Charlie.

If WRC are used the cost is usually as follows

Boost and AFR are monitored which is a useful diagnostic as well as checking the health while on the rollers. The dyno cell has 10 cooling fans including extraction, so the intercooler will be kept happy. A full print out will be given with Inlet temp, AFR, Boost, BHP and Torque (flyweel and at the wheels)
Its all very safe and ive done a few before

Each car will have 3-4-5 runs to verify the data, and a full print out will be given.

Prices as follows:
12 cars + £40
20 cars + £35
30 cars + £30
WRC Website: http://www.wrc-tech.co.uk/services-rolling-road.htm
Map: http://www.wrc-tech.co.uk/contact1.htm

If you are travailing. I live in Colchester and from door to WRC Silverstone was 1hr 45min.
WRC are in the Silverstone race track and very easy get to strata up the M1.

To be honest I have been to Engine Advantages and Power Engineering & if you guys want an accurate power reading for your car WRC has by way the best and most accurate rolling road there is. Chris & Alan who run WRC are top blokes and Chris is an official rolling road engineer for Dyno Dynamics.

This is just a suggestion please let me now what you all want to do.

Many Thanks

essexboy30 02 June 2005 07:46 AM

count me in!

Love to see what this little jap car does......

Gidney&Knowlesy 02 June 2005 10:23 AM

Engine Advantages in Witham, Essex will do 20+ cars at £30 per car, then you could all shoot off for lunch down the old trusty "The Lodge"

Wr NEO and I had ours done about 4 weeks back now at Engine Advantages, was £47 for 2 runs. Definitely recommend them.

Although I do need to speak to Knowsley and Co about some mods that were mentioned as a next step. Wouldn't mind seeing 350bhp now.

Betts wants Scooby Magazine to be there!!

Looks like Power Eng or WRC at the mo.

Can't say anything about WRC technologies, but Power Engineering puts on a good day, and keeps the crowds fed and watered

urbanmyth 03 June 2005 07:32 AM

I have to 2 RR day at WRC & for you money you get a complete health check. All tyre pressure are checked as is oil levels. Boost, AFR are all monitored as is air inlet temperatures ect ect. They don’t limit the number off runs you on the rollers. So once on the rollers the car is run until all figures are verified. You also will get full printout of Inlet Temp , AFR , Boost, BHP , Torque (flywheel and at the wheels)
A food wagon can be laid on as well. This was in side so if it rains no problem.

The Dyno they use is very very accurate so if you want a accurate reading then I would recommend them.

From my personal experience I would say that WRC give a more accurate figure and have the better Dyno out off the two and don’t for get you are in Silverstone. Last time I was up there they was testing super bikes and F1 car so made for a really good day.

And lets not for get the 300BHP cap (if you run over 300BHP the you get a WRC 300BHP cap)
