When will Subaru learn that they got it right with the classic. That looks blaady awful. The Headlights are ok, but that grille

Well, Subaru have never been top of the styling pile.

My questions would be:

1) How much better does it perform (does it have a 2.5 *surprise* or ever a twin scroll turbo under the hood?
2) What is the drag coefficient of this design vs the blobby?
3) When is a complete new model coming - this is still just a face lift on the existing shape?
4) How much more will it cost?
5) What is the eight difference?

Now, the question is, do u get one of these... or an EVO X when it is released.

 

That just screams ALFA to me. BUt apart from the grill I like it.

How long till the replica top spoiler is filtered throught, I will be ordering one.!

 

Still don't like the captain beaky look. I think if the centre grill section went narrow at the bottom, then widened out I'd like it more. The spoiler-lite on the rear window adds very little IMHO and reminds me too much of Saxo's etc. Umm what else.. Rear bumper goes way too low and again reminds me of something from Need for speed 2. Finally, it really is time to ditch the scoop and move to a front mount...

i think when i change my car im moving towards a m3, maybe a blobeye if the prices drop down quite a bit, dont think they will as the blobeye looks a bit better imo

 

Looks OK to me. Theres a bugeye STI in a local dealership parked next to a blobeye STI and I spent more time nosing around the bugeye than the blob.

I'm starting to like bugs more than the other at the moment. (Apart from classic obviously)

Like the position of the Subaru Badge on the boot lid, although I miss the S U B A R U letters as I have always liked them.

Don't like the new rear lights much.

I see they have gone back to the Bugeye Scoop on the bonnet! Prefer the blobeye one personally (although I understand the pedestrian safety reasons behind minimising it)

Not sure about the new spoiler on the rear window.....a bit too much?

Anyone know if the interior is different from the current model?

I will be keeping my MY03 longer though...and it may even help the resale value

Yuk! Was holding on to see what the new model was going to look like as I may have been tempted, but think I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Thought that in a different colour it might make it look better, but looks even worse in silver!

 

If its got a 2.5 motor or twin scroll turbo, you may be convinced its the most beautiful scooby ever built...

 

Granted if it's a 2.5 (300 bhp standard) and the WRX gets the STi lump + 6 speed I'll be thinking hmm maybe should have waited .. if the specs aren't much different though my thoughts are ...

Why oh why oh why ... boy am I glad I bought an MY05.

I just don't understand how Subaru can get it so right with all the engineering (well mostly) and then clothe the chassis etc with quite frankly hideous bodywork.

My only suggestion is it now gives the bug-eye boys someone to laugh at, someone further down the ugly tree hitting all the branches as they go
