The space frame did'nt bother me too much. At first I thought it was`something to rest my heels on!! The pedals were just too much for me. Maybe I'm just not flexible enough!

I was approaching roundabouts in 3rd at 20 mph and then flooring it to see 100mph coming up very fast.
Try this in a big turbo Scoob/Evo and you'd probably be there a few days later.

You can argue the milliseconds on track times until the cars come home, but the Noble has an engine that can deliver in any gear at any rpm instantly, there is no discernible lag. I doubt that can be said of a Scoob with 500 BHP.

What I'm trying to say is the Noble has power delivery that a similar BHP/tonne Scoob c'ant match. And since I d'ont live on a drag strip that makes it the faster car, for me.

Had it not been for the god awful offset pedals that hurt my knee I would have one in my garage now

Back when my scoob was pushing just about 500hp it made more torque at 3500 (450ft-lb) than the published M400 figures and had very little lag (ie time lag not RPM lag). Don't forget we are not necessarily talking about 2.0 scoobs, you can buy a 2.6 or even 2.8 off the shelf now. Making an engine that can do that, AND meets emmisions regs though might be a little more challenging. Now mine is a much more drag oriented car, but others are about that are not, and I think that many people that have preconceptions of what a 500hp scoob must be like would be shocked.

Engine development has come a long way, and good results are accessable by the average punter due to the work done by a relatively small group of what are essentially enthusiasts.

I admit I've never driven a 400+ BHP Scoob so have assumed that a 500 BHP Scoob would equal big lag, or always driving the car at 4000rpm +
Its all good banter as I d'ont own either!

400 BHP on a 2.5 is very pleasant - 1 bar boost at 2500 RPM, hardly any lag at all if you keep it above that.

Was in my bosses Audi S8 the other day at 155mph on the M1.

fastest ive ever been.

However, note the trip computer was reading 3.8mpg whilst accelerating from 100 - 155. Bit pricey to run, but going for about 15k these days, for a 4.2 V8, quattro drivetrain, and cabin like a Jag.
And you can pretend to be Robert de Niro in "Ronin" too!

This must be the ultimate stealth car.

Imagine people laughing at you until you put your foot down... and then laughing at you again when you tip over at the first corner. If they think it's so stable then why fit a very expensive roll bar?
