Now then Dill,
I've fitted the ecu chip and I have got the inspection cover off the top of the fuel pump housing.
I will be fitting it over this weekend after work at some point along with the regulator.
Cheers for the offer of help I will be okay though, not big jobs just a bit fiddley as usual.

are you getting it mapped then? or can you just plug this one in, job done?
Got my final design for graphics, hopefully arrive next weekend, taking car in to Zen to drop a mate off ao gonna do my g/box there, saves doing it in the wet and cold on my driveway.
Whats your chip good for then? 300 horses?

Its a postal map,
I just gave them my list of mods and its set up reasonably safe to run them.
Hopefully it will be around 1.1 bar boost, it must be geting there because I gave it a quick try the other night and it hit the fuel cut, thats why I need to fit the new pump and regulator.

Zak at Mocom racing (based in Essex) is offering a group buy on remapping. This is the fantastic offer he has come up with £399 inc. VAT !!!
This Group buy is for all newage Imprezas (MY01 onwards) and will run ONLY UNTIL end of February '07.
The group buy price for the remap is £399 inc. VAT
The remap will be expertly carried out by Zak
Each customer will be supplied with a DeltaDash Road Dyno plot both before and after so you can see exactly where the improvements are rather than relying on the butt dyno.
A couple of notes.
It is suggested that the spark plugs should be a grade colder for boost raised above the standard levels, therefore Mocom Racing use Denso Iridium's which can be supplied and/or fitted at additional cost. Depending on other mods such as decat exhaust etc. an uprated fuel pump may also be required.
All cars should run well before the re-map, this shouldn't be seen as an opportunity to mask an existing problem in the hope it'll get rectified with a re-map, if there's a problem please talk to Zak about it before hand and I am sure something can be sorted out.
Anyone else fancy booking in
Give Zak a call, mention this group buy thread on Scoobynet and he will sort you out!

My old classic has a Subaru chip and chip socket fitted as standard to the insude of the ECU.
This allowed Subaru to increase the horse power from 240 - 275 bhp.
So I just pulled out the old chip and fitted the new one, 10 minute job

Nope,
Your car has bigger injectors (440cc) a bigger intercooler, better turbo, and a better map sensor.
I'm going to see what weight I can loose fom mine to help with the power to weight figures.

Well intercooler is up for grabs if want it, if you're having the brakes sure i can work a deal out.
Are you keeping it as a daily driver or thinking of stripping it, TBH most of its pretty light already, lighter than mine IIRC, I've seen carbon bonnets about but you'll notice they never quote their weight, most of em aren't pure carbon either.
lightweight pulleys and flywheel will make a difference see the edf racing threads on group buys, i got some pulleys on there, about 1/2 price of RCM ones and lighter too.
I've got a roll of CF too if you're getting anything made and want it cheap

CDF Racing, performance pulleys
If you have a bird, tell her it reduces mass therefore less power used from engine, less fuel/emmisions, all the bunny rabbits and dicky birds live happily ever after

One of our guys that used to come down bought a "carbon" bonnet, turned out to be twicw the weight of an ally one and it was fibre glass with a sheet of carbon glassed on top.
I'm not stripping it, the rear seats where really light when I took them out a couple of hours ago, pump and regulator now fitted

There is one on monday too for who are on sidc, MLR and GTROC, but not a member so can't so that one.
Just want to give the car a run on track before round 1 of TA 7/8th April
