It's one of those brilliant (but totally futile) "protests" by the fans. Like half a dozen of them not renewing their season tickets. God bless 'em.

At least Glazer will have to offer them all £3.00 a share for their shares - probably quite a bit more than they're worth (Magnier & co. definitely thought so.)

not much point now. There was though if people had done it previously.

My renewal is £646, 19 home games only. Last year it was around £540.

I've been a season ticket holder for 10 years, and I will probably not renew. The clubs are pricing the fans out of the game, perhaps they just want a few thousand corporate seats to bring the cash in.

I stopped buying programs when they reached £2 each, they are now £3!!!

The reason I am not renewing is partly to do with Glazer buying the club, but the main problem is the ticket price. For £34 a match, some weeks there are 3 games in 8 days, the cost is now the issue, especially as the standard of football is declining rapidly. For £34 I want to be entertained. This does not mean winning every game, but seeing a team that is 100% committed on the field.

A lot of the older players lack this committment, perhaps it's the fact that they have obscene amounts of money and have won all there is to win?

I will still go to maybe 15 games a year, but like most fans there is a limit to how much they are prepared to pay to watch their team in a season and a 25% price hike, before Glazer adds the same again next year, is to much for me.

You should try being a Spurs fan - over £700 for a season ticket and no prospect of being a "big club" or even seeing any really good football in the forseeable future.

Was wondering what all the fuss was about.

Glazier may well be 300m in debt, but clearly various banks and other financial institutions think he's good for £790million.

Now, it strikes me that this is Glazier's debt, not the clubs. At this point in the equation the two are quite separate.

All he is doing is buying shares from someone else, not from the club. Why are those selling out not coming under any criticism?

If he then finainces his debt from the club, as has been suggested, he will give rise to a massive personal tax liability as any such payments will be deemed to be taxable income.

Not a particularly clever move.

I'm not familiar with English clubs particular financial standings, but unless Man U have huge reserves of cash, any payments to Glazer to enable him to support the debt incurred for the shares would have to be agreed by those banks and other institutions funding the club.

So either all those fanatical man u fans juming up and down about this really just don't know their commercial **** from their footballing elbow, or there is much, much more to this than meets the eye.

To say he has no passion for the club is laughable. How much passion for the club did those who held the shares he has now bought held?

Precisely - and no one has been banging on about them....

Now Glazer has over 75% of the shares, he can delist the club if he so wishes. He can also transfer his debt over to United, something which he has said he will do. This means that it will be United in debt, not Glazer, to the tune of around £540million.
