I actually credit teams when they've played well, especially against Utd, I have never seen a scouser without their blinkers on, especially on here .
Anyway Liverpool supporters have amassed about 15 years over two era's 70's and 80's, whilst your lot nicked some trophies during these times, I think its safe to say weve been at it since 1990-1991 and if it did suddenly come to a halt tomorrow I'd have no complaints, its swings and roundabouts as the "invincibles" (whoever talks about them anymore) can testify.
Although right now Arsenal at Evens for the FA Cup is a magnificent price

I Agree FM - At least two more years of Utd decline 'til you're transformation will be complete to a blinkered , half-witted wallower .
Is now a good time to start predictions for Next Year ?
1. Man Utd
2. Chelsea
3. Arsenal
4. Everton
5. Liverpool
6. Spurs
7. Newcastle
8. Bolton
9. Boro
10. Wigan

I dont really believe that, what I believe is that chelsea had an off day against liverpool, United had an off day against chelsea. Fact is on any given day there isn't much to choose between United, Arsenal and Chelsea. Chelsea have been very consistent this season and Arsenal moreso than United, United have lost to much lesser teams which is the main problem that needs to be addressed.

I was shocked to see the lack of support at the end. that is very worrying if I was a manure supporter. as for filling the away allocation, lots of clubs now charge £45 for an away ticket trying to milk the away fans..
Sir fungusmoan has got to go, when was the last time he signed a quality player and it didn't cost him a fortune.

As for the ticket prices. Old Trafford is one of the cheapest places to visit as a home or away supporter. Birmingham City charge more than we do so thats no excuse.
I know for a fact that had I been a Chelsea fan subject to a few years of "Have you ever seen Chelsea win the league" I would have been at Old Trafford to sing it back.

Ronaldo can be annoying to watch even as a red, but he definitely has a talent which will be a true force once he grows up and stops being so petulant. Some of the touches and his general awareness are unreal, but still need to be developed to stop him being so greedy and conniving. Ruud used to dive often but he grew out of it once he realised the fans don't like it. Ronaldo will do the same.

Enjoy the moment Chelski
Great to read all the gloating from the rant boys.
Yeh youve done well this year and yeh you keep thinking Chelsea have already won next years league.
United were crap this season but make no mistake we will be back next year.
There will be a big crisis at the Bridge next year and the proper champions will be back where they belong.
Youve not won the Treble boys and youve not done it over and over again !!!!
Jose - Top Man (he's got a bit of Cantona attitude in him)

There is only one way for you lot now and that is down. Don't go thinking that Chelsea are anything special *just* yet. They have a long way to go before they match the Arsenal side from last season or the 1999 United side - which even Wenger said is the best team he has seen .

I know for a fact that had I been a Chelsea fan subject to a few years of "Have you ever seen Chelsea win the league" I would have been at Old Trafford to sing it back.
I don't suppose and Utd fans are going to like this, but having been at Anfield the week before, it really was quite obvious how quiet the 60,000 faithful were when compared to the scousers. No wonder most of them left before the end. Having said that I've always found that Utd's away support is as good as any noise-wise.
I've been to Old Trafford plenty of times, and always feel we have a chance of a result there. United always try and play football, and in turn let us play ours. None of this sitting on a one nil lead and everyone back in defence.
Slightly amused to hear that everyone will be trying harder to beat Chelsea next season. You mean they weren't trying this year?
Just read a classic interview in the Express today with Mr sour grapes Arsene Wenger. Apparently he believes Arsenal "have made up ground on Chelsea in the last three or four months". Well I reckon Chelsea had a 5 point lead at the start of January after 20 games. After tonights victory (unless Everton get 8 in injury time ) Arsenal will be only 11 points behind.
More kiddology from Wenger: "they have 5 or 6 players at their peak between 25 and 30." He then proceeds to name 6 players, 3 of which are 26 (well done Mr Wenger), but Cole, Terry and Cech are only 23, 24, and 22. Good try .
Who are Wenger and old red nose trying to fool. We've had it all this season... we couldn't win up north, we couldn't win after CL games, we couldn't handle a title run-in, we wouldn't cope with injuries. Now they're both on about next season. Good to see SAF laid his mark down last night. That had us quaking in our boots.
I'll be up at NUFC on Sunday to complete my season. Have a fun summer and look forward to resuming hostilities at the Charity shield on Aug 7th .

All respect due to you Mark, I appreciate travelling fans.
I take it you sat in the away support area? It does sound awfully quiet from there. I'm not trying to make excuses here but that is one of the reasons many of the stretford end singers are campaigning to be moved.
We make all the noise, but stuck up there the sound just disappears. There aren't many other singing sections at OT hence the quietness. If we were moved then things would sound different, even it was just to a lower tier.
Unfortunately though, maximum megastore revenue comes from the rest of the ground which is basically just a big family stand. Oh well, most of them will end up supporting you now !
As for being amused about teams trying harder, they do when you are there to be knocked off a perch. Its much harder to keep a title than win one, just ask Mr Wenger.
I think you will find the majority of seasoned matchgoing reds will put you down for deserving the title and winning last night. But we are also having a good giggle about us having some competition for most arrogant/hated fans.
Roll On Next Season!

Cheers Angrynorth. It takes a certain amount of insanity to be a committed "away" fan! My boss at work has hardly seen me the last few weeks whilst I've been to Munich, Liverpool, and now Manchester. We travelled up on CFC's charter train. Not ideal but I got home to West Sussex at 4.30am
I fully understand what you mean about the accoustics of the ground. In fact I think we suffer from the same problem as you at Chelsea. Its easy enough to make loads of noise when you're in the lower tier near the pitch, but as grounds get higher and higher more and more fans feel divorced from the action. Must say I really expected the Utd fans adjacent to the away section to give us more grief.
I looked at the Utd season ticket prices with envy last night. Next season my ST will cost £855. At that price it cuts out a lot of the true fans and opens the door for the infamous "prawn sarnie" brigade.
I gather somebody said the away section wasn't full last night? Must say where I was couldn't see any spare seats, but obviously couldn't see the whole section. I know for a fact that CFC did sell all the tickets, although after the Bolton win a few returns were made to chelsea. However, these were all sold before the game, so not quite sure why there were empty seats.
Don't really care if we are now the most hated team/fans around. . It all adds to the fun. I've been going to CFC since 1972, seen us lose at some rubbish places (6-0 at Rotherham springs to mind ) so am just enjoying something I never thought I'd see.
Yes, the level of expectancy will be higher next season, but that should spice things up.
I'll be cheering on United on the 22nd.

My point was that he has lost the ability to find talent for cheap money. you cant talk about a couple of youngsters either
If the youngsters fulfill some of the promise they have shown then they'll be good buys.
Hopefully these youngsters will join up with rooney and ronaldo in the first team and form a young backbone to a new team. All this talk of not winning the league the last couple of years when really the Man United team has been being rebuilt, it's a transition period just now.
