Hiya guys

The front right hand corner is smashed due to some numpty getting the front spoiler stuck when taking it off the recovery wagon, after it had to be towed home due to an electrical fault. The previously mentioned numpty has now vanished into thin air leaving yours truely with a £900 bill for a new front bumper, spraying, fitting, indicators, and bulbs!

Bad news mate.....

Often the case that silly little breakdowns cause equally silly but much larger repercussions..... My alarm failed a few years back and, while the car was being pushed into the dealers, the rear panel got bent....

I know, it is annoying more than anything, but I was never overly keen on the nosecone that it had on and the new one coming is much better. So clouds and silver linings etc. Will let you know about lift if that is ok!!

Oh and I never finished my last message so how it got posted I have absolutely no idea!!!!

Cheers

Anyone going to the NBO this year, I've started a thread to sort out the convoy HERE. Pop your names down and add your input on the rendezvous point, and please try to convince as many people from the other regions and/or forums to attend

We were planning on a rendez at The Ladybower instead, but we'll be going past The Strines pub.

That's your local? You don't live in a tent next to the sheep do you mate? Or in the ruined castle thingy across the valley....??

Guys.. It looks like I'm off for this one.. Timing is a little awakward as I may not have the WRS by then. If I do, it won't be long before I'm handing the keys over and don't want to be giving it a bash over the Strines 'Just in case'.. As the 'soon to be owner' probably won't want it in a a few boxes..

Even if the timing is good.. then I'll not be able to run the new one too hard.. And there's no point spending money on a sitter for a passeneger seat.. You know I'd crawl over broken glass to get to go, but I need my sensible hat on.. know what I mean?

BTW.. Crawling over broken glass IS sensible, if there's a run to be had..

Al - you can be a real let-down sometimes mate.....

Tell ya what - borrow mi MTB, you'll be as fast as Sticky over the hills, that's for sure.

Anyway, I thought that the social aspect of a good WYIOC run was as important as the driving.... Ask some of our regular participants...

C'mon - don't be a wet blanket/damp squib/part-time chairman.... We'll all volunteer to give you a lift and share cars with you during this traumatic period.

...although he wouldn't want to take mine down there. He'd be cancelling his order the next day (Calm down, it was a joke )

Faster than who over the hills? I've just avg'd 17.1 on t'way 'ome, and that's mainly up t'hill
