West Yorkshire Impreza Owners Club run to Ladybower - 18-5-05
With the lighter nights and warmer weather seemingly upon us, it's time to have another run out in the countryside Al & I discussed long and hard for several minutes before recycling one of last years ideas so we could get back to watching Ian's thrapper upsetting the Noise Abaitment Society on sunday
So, who's up for another run down to Ladybower reservoir over the interesting twisties of Strines Moor I'm gonna get in touch with some of the S. Yorks lot to see if they'll join us this time, and perhaps lead us on a small run over some of the excellent roads down there.
Meet at the old Fenay Bridge from 7pm, for a 7.30 set off on wednesday 18th May. See you there
BTW - We made an executive decision to try out a wednesday for the convenience of some people who can never make it (Martin), or struggle to get out on a thursday; but if it causes people any difficulty it can be put back to thursday. Just let us know
Pics from last time
PS. Any newbies who'd like to join us from the Leeds area, I will lead a convoy down to the Fenay Bridge from M62 J.27 (near Ikea).

If it's a Wednesday then I'm gonna have to either miss it or drag the skids along, 'and I'll be wiffyles (oh joy ) cause she'll be at dog training (be VERY careful, she'll probably read this thread )
As the custard is still in my posession it may be necessary to drag it out for a blat, but as it would have the back seats occupied by the little 'uns it most certainly would not be a 'blast'. The way things are going it will probably be back on the highway properly just in time for Xmas, nice prezzie (but who's gonna pay the in-sewer-ants?!?!?!?!)
Failing the above I'm happy to tag along with anyone that can put up with the screams and yells of a terrified occupant... and the kids
So, that's an unofficial YUP from the Sticky camp

not sure yet ( as is the norm now unfortunatley) due to stupid working hours.
good news is I may pack the job in as I'm on "super tax" at the mo and seem to be paying the national debt in tax
but may stay on as we could have kelly brooke or nell mcandrew working with us soon
If I'm there I'm there. If I'm not I'm not... but I'll do my bestest

I'd be telling them 'Not tonight girls, I've got an Evo that needs some head..on a good run with the lads...'
Of course I'm stupid and a complete ****.. but don't let that stop me giving you some advice.. OK?
Apple, Chris.. I may have left the door ajar with a brilliant double entendre.. but don't turn it into a McD triple super size'd one..

Did someone almost mention the delightful KB and head in the same-ish sentence? Now there's a thought to hold and cherish - there you are, all romantic and misty-eyed for a moment then.
Never had any problem with her on Big Breakfast as I never had the sound on
...cos it would have woken the rest of the house up
A quickie reminder...
Can she be proposed and seconded and thirded and fourthed and fifthed for British Ambassador for Underhand Peanut Imports & Exports? I'd welcome her with open arms...
PS I'm hopefully up for the run, work permitting as it's busy at the mo...

Great, you can all go after her, and me and little Nell will just sit quietly in a corner discussing Yorkshire Water, or summat

www.mytyres.co.uk list them, 1 week delay. Might be a different story if you actually try to order them

Luckily, ATS did a £12 repair, but it set me thinking about how long before they go the way of all rubber.....
So far, the Leggy has been pretty kind on its rubber. Too much grip, not enough power.... Think how long the average wheelbarrow tyre lasts.

for the tyres, surely Dave could do you a deal on a full set...
mytyres.co.uk had RE070s for 108quid when I looked a week or two back with my self-tapper escapade - but watch out as they also list RE720s but I dunno whether this is the UK version or not?

I will see if some of the SMACS are up for a run. Can we arrange a suitable meet point? Maybe the pub on the Strines road?
