I just fitted it ( rear 22-24mm adj rear a/r bar ) to the existing brackets with the new PU bushes that came with it, still OK 3 years on!

Only issue is the noise as the bush dries out / grease squeezes out etc, bit of a squeek over speed ramps, but a bit of bearing grease or WD40 sorts that out!

Is polyurethane OK with normal grease / WD40?????

I thought you had to use "rubber" grease, to prevent the things from going to mush.

So which diameter did you fit Vulnax 22 or 24?
soft may be the equivalent to a smaller bar and hard to the larger bar but it's not very clear to others which diameter you actually fitted there.

<<puts KY jelly away>>

Hmm not sure Fuzz, I used the ickle pouch that came with the whiteline a/r bar kit, but when the bars started to squeek a while later when they twisted, like when going over speed bumps, I used first WD40 or similar ( with PTFE in it ! ) which worked for a while, then later dropped the bars / bushes and lubed them heavily with lithium bearing grease I had! This worked fine, but attacted all sorts of road grit! Now squeek again over speed bumps.

But no softening or dissolving as far as I can see. Passed MOT a cuple of months ago so bushes must be holding up fine!

I am sure you can find out from Powerstation, one of the main importers ofthis kit into the UK. ??

Whoops

Missed this one!

The rear adjustable bar is I think 24 mm diameter, the use of the 3 different drop link mounting holes denotes the effective stiffness - 22, 23, 24 mm.

I fitted metal drop links/pu bushes all round first, and found some improvement - a couple of rubber drop link bushes were very soft ( and I mean SOFT ! ).

Then rear bar went on with chassis/a-r bar mounting bushes in PU too.
Made a marked difference. I set it at the inner most hole on the adjustable a/r bar, the hardest or 24 mm setting.

A couple of weeks later I fitted the front 22 mm a/r bar, with it's PU chassis mountings, and this made the car go back to it's OEM handling stance of understeer... so negated a lot of the rear a/r bar effects.

Not so bad I had to change back, but in wet it is an understeery piglet!!

I took the stock rear ARB mounts and welded a single plate of 3mm steel into the 'U' form forming a web.
Bit of a copy of the MRT/Whiteline parts.
Cost = 25p!
