The momo wheel is standard, plus on the MY99 you get an ECU that can be remaped without the need for a piggy back chip, better brakes than the previous years, facelift front end and the stage 2 engine.
Just for your own piece of mind, replace the MAF, for £70 from a main dealer it's worth it to save your engine. Mine appeared to be working fine, but i thought i'd replace it anyway last week. the difference is that through the rev range the car is even smoother and drives better. Granted mine has 80k miles on the clock but some people change it every year as a matter of course but most say every 50k miles
The part number is 22794AA010
So, next thing is de-tango - scoobyworld do packs where you can get crystal indicators, repeaters and side lights
here's mine with said crystal bits

Appart from that, enjoy it - it's also practical!

Hey thanks for the tips 'little idiot'. Much appreciated. I will change the MAF as a course of safety. Thanks for the part number. Sounds like a cheap replacement for such an important part.
cheers buddy!

Forgot to ask!!
The wheels on my new wagon are the same as the ones from your picture (always did like the green scoobys btw). Do you know much about them? Were they an optional extra or something? Seems like most of the Subaru's Ive seen from MY99 have 5 spoke alloys...

The 5 spoke 16" wheels were standard on MY99 UK turbos, but there was a lot of the gold 6-spoke wheels with tyres about on offer in 2000 (around here at least). They worked out cheaper than a new set of tyres for me... and my green MY99 wagon looked very nice in them (now sporting RB5 17" wheels).
Enjoy the car!

The car is in superb condition, with not a mark on it. The engine was cold when I arrived and gave a nice clean exhaust fume once I started it up. No sign of MAF damage or clutch problems.
The car drove nicely, and was immaculate inside. All four tyres were the same (Goodridge). Overall I was very impressed. The car picked up well and had clearly been looked after. Came with full Subura service history, and was unmodded apart from an exhaust at the back (original supplied as well)....
All in all a good UK spec car from the looks of things. Price is 7k, but I managed to talk him down to £6,700 including full service, MOT and valet.
Cheers for all the help guys, much appreciated. Lets hope one day I can return the favour!

Alright guys.
Just got back from the second viewing of the wagon. Took some piccys but cant load them onto my machine at work! Will do later tonight though. The car had been valleted and looked superb in the sun.
Gave me a chance to check a few things out though. Alloys are Six spoke (not seven as I previously wrote in this thread), in gold. Seats are black on the outside with blue in the middle. White dials. Alpine head unit and multi changer. Large exhaust, although no obvious make on it. Has yet to be de-tangoed as you guys put it, hopefully this is the first job on the list....
Will try and post some shots tonight.
Thanks for all your replies and tips!

to de-tango you're orange wedges on front bumper halfords make up small pot's of paint with a brush inside because you can't buy the colour kit's for subaru but they look well with a few coat's i hope you have a fat wallet once you start modding you can't stop
ah right Im with you. Thanks for the link. I was wondering at first what you were going on about with the paint from Halfords and stuff, but now it has just clicked!!
1. Paint the bottom orange bits
2. Purchase clear lenses for the top and sides!
Cheers
Nick
p.s - lovely looking car there Craig!!

Good question Matt!
I think its just the back box to be honest, although I didnt spend any length of time on my knee's looking as I was wearing my work suit.
I will get a picture of it though posted, to maybe help with identifying it.

Ah sorry mate - the original has been provided with the car, so yeah it looks like it will just be a case of switching them back if there is a MOT issue. They are running it through an MOT before I collect it on tuesday though, so hopefully there wont be any issue's there.
Thanks for reminding me though!
Nick
p.s - cheers for the meet info lordharding! I will look into that mate....

Welcome to the world of Wagons.
You are now a Wagoneer.
You have chosen one of Subarus best stealth machines, (and a proper colour too) all the pleasure of a Scoob without the attention that a rally-slag car gets.
My opinion, the classic wagon is the best car that I've owned, including BMW, Merc, Toyota etc.
You will have to get used to an aching chuckle muscle, the smile and chuckles will last for a long time when you own a Scoob.
Enjoy,
Big-G
the Widnes Wagoneer

De-tangoed....
