We are leaving from Dover early Wednesday AM, returning Monday evening.
About 10 of us in Team Bobblehat, look out for the t-shirts and our team Mascot Norbert the Gnome. Team name is also on the camper so we shouldn't be too hard to spot
Travelling over in an old camper van, a VW of some sort (tba) and I am still deciding whether to take the WR1 or Sunbeam Tiger.
We are in Beausejour camp site.
For those that don't know have a look at Club Arnage it is the equivalent of Scoobynet for people who go to Le Mans.

Unfortunately the Winnebago is no go , so we've got alternative accommodation. However will be sharing the driving over in a chum's RS4, leaving Aberdeen on the Wednesday afternoon, hopefully should get there for midday on Thursday.
James, aye, I'll be at Le Mans with Elliott.

We've got to get up a tad earlier (well especially those in the camper ) as we are on the 7.45am Speedferries sailing. So all being well we should be well on our way to the camp site by the time you sail.
On the plus side we should have the beers cold by the time you get there
Joking aside feel free to come over for a beer, our next door neighbours (if plans hatched on Club Arnage work out) do some very interesting tricks with a microwave, light bulbs, CD's (and a laptop too last year!). Which if it is as spectacular as last year is well worth attending.
Have a safe journey,
Robin

Hello Ladies,
I'm leaving Essex at 06:00 Thursday for Dover 08:30 on the Norfolk lines to Dunkirk, then via Rouen and a few cafes, for Le-mans.
I'm in a white k reg wrx ra, P1 alloys. speed limiter fitted in passenger seat
Were all on Maison Blanche
I'm meeting up with the rest who will already be there,
silver V reg impreza turbo with prodrive p7's, he's a farmer with no money.
black legacy saloon, coming via nurgbergring (in less than 10mins, inc stove & tent).
Skoda diesel favorit thingy, that shouldnt be laughed at. It stuffs us in a straight line.
Vw Golf diesel turbo, 6-speed and probably without licence by the time he arrives.
We all head back for monday night crossing.
Come over and see us if you've time, remember to ask 'for the poor farmer' or 'where the local ******* spots are'. We will be about Arnarge on Friday, but sunday night we head to the chinese on the mulsanne. low choice menu, but not expensive and no washing up for the next morning. afterwards you may see us on the 'local public roads' before sunset.
No hot team name, only the apparent rule 'you can take the boy out of essex, but you cant take the essex out of the boy'
I hope its hot, see you all out there, safe journeys.

We're all off this afternoon.
This year we're wimping out and our staying just outside Arnage.
I'll keep an eye out for fellow scoobies at Friday's meet at Arnage/Indianapolis.
Cheers,
Andy

Le Mans
Going Friday back Monday - staying north of Le Mans.
Group consists of: AC Cobra, Porsche 911, Westfield, Dodge Viper, TVR and my hillclimb competition Subaru !.
My Subaru is only used for 1 mile hillclimbs so I thought I would give it a run to Le Mans for a bit of fun.
If you see my Subaru you won't miss it - it is two tone yellow and blue but not the usual colours and has competition number 77 on it along with various sponsors all over it !.
Watch the speed traps - was caught last year doing 177kmh - lucky to get away with just an on the spot 90 Euro fine !.

Great weekend had here, scorchio or what!! On the way back yesterday I had a great roundabout riding experience with a Green wagon and felt pretty sorry for the WR1 following me when I saw the blue lights in my mirror.
I can highly recommend a helicoptor ride, seeing the cars below speeding down the mulsane straight was something special.
