Default Dragssssssssssssss my asssssssssssss

Nice idea, but not sure of the baitting idea to scooby owners.

Lots of cars registered with 6, 7, 8, 000's bhp, not driveable unless in a straight line!

I could put nos and massive tyres on my sti an maybe contend, but the problem is, I still would have no chance and end up with 000's in rebuilding my car. I use my car for every day use so don't really want to fry my engine on one run, just to prove that some nos'd up rusty old ****bag of car can spank my ***, just cos its fitted with road legal tyres and a number plate from some third world car testing center (and I mean american).

This is for the hard core drag racers with do nothing else but tune and rebuild cars all day long with all sorts of non road legal mods, not for the likes of us.

I challenge any of these cars in a stand up road race through normal differing road conditions!

I would look elsewhere if I were you!

Not saying of course, that I would be a good spectacle to watch, but not for your average 300+bhp sti owner, who apprecaites a a very good car, to participate!

IMHO

There will be a "pro drag" class for 400 to 1200Bhp for those "straigh line" cars

and a "drag class" for car from 0 to 400bhp that are very close to a "everyday" car...

This would let everybody enjoy this challenge in its own class!

Scooby-Si, if you're 22b is 450bhp and the megabusa turbo is faster, what sort of bhp are we talking about?

Jbagh, I agree, mine's only got 305bhp at the mo, so no chance against most of the field. Am hoping to get it up to about 350bhp in the near future, but probably not much more than that. Maybe scooby-si will wait at the finish line with a cup of tea for us?

For me it will be more about the experience and meeting folk.

I wrote earlier that it would be nice if we had a few cars travel the journey from the UK, I did not mean to run only to spectate, Its not far up early and back late not bad for a day out.

Simon, as you can see on the rules, whatever power you run on a 4WD, you always go ProDrag! ony 2WD can access ProStock category

Scooby-Si, I was also thinking ferry from Hull. Will have the missus with me, think we're going to try and find somewhere to deposit the kids for the weekend though

Not planned the travel arrangements yet, but I've booked the Friday and Monday off work for it, and will def be staying over somewhere. You looked into accomodation yet at all?

Got a couple of mates who have Supra's who are thinking of coming as well. One's got a 400bhp '99 Supra and he other an '89 Supra with close to 300bhp. Not sure if they're racing or not yet though.

By the way, I know what you mean about the car changing thing. I've always wanted a scoob, but went through a phase recently where I fancied an R34. Missus talked me out of it, see they're good for some things!

PS I've resistered now, mines number 60. Hoping to get a few more bhp before the event though...
