Lol @ Jamie the cat
How about Michael - another versatile name - not so popular nowdays and unfortunate connotations at the moment but can be Michael/Mick/Mike/Micky/Mikey etc etc

BTW that scan technology is amazing!

Michael's not too bad.
Other "ok" options are Scott or Ryan at the moment. Adam is looking good as a potential middle name, but we have to be careful with the initial of the first name with Adam.... x A B
Trouble is, nothing is really grabbing as a winning name. We've just got "ok" names....as in "that'll do, unless we think of something we really like"....

I always thought it would be cool to have a name where the 3 initials were also the shortened version of the christian name. Like if it was a girl and in your positon with a surname starting with B, I'd be tempted to call her Tabitha Anne B.... so the initials made TAB. Would look cool when initialling things.
Where it's a boy what about, ermmmmmmm, Robert Owen B..... R.O.B.
Maybe it's just me

We had real troubles choosing a boys name.
We liked
Ethan
Lewis
Callum
In the end we chose Michael. It seemed like a name that has never really gone totally out of fashion plus it can be shortened in so many ways. Our son is 2 now and every one calls him Mikey which seems to really suit the little rascal.
His Grandads are called Michael and Shaun so we pinched their names (his middle name is Shaun) We gained loads of brownie points for it.
Hope all goes well and that you find a name you like.

The missus had chosen the girls name so I got to choose a boy. We had a boy ... called him Luc. Mainly 'cos I like it.
There are also no (current!!) double meanings, you can't (relly ..) shorten it and it'll get everyone spelling it wrong for the next 80 odd (hopefully) years .....
Dave
PS: yep it is Luc (not Luke)

If our next one is a boy (4 months odd to go!!) it will be Thomas Owen McMillan - for my best friend (Tom is also my grandfathers name) and my brother.
Coincidentally, his initials will be TOM

We had our little one a month ago - Thomas Jack!
Likewise it's a family name - we both had grandfathers called Tom. I'm a huge Patrick O'Brian fan so Jack had to be in there too...

Another Michael, again named after his grand father (my dad), who died three weeks before he was born, but the Cherry was, he was born on his grandads birthday

I didn't have any boys names and was getting concerned when everyone said I was carrying like I was having a boy.
Luckily she turned out a girl.
In Hollie's class she has the following:
Harvey
Kaylum
Redmond
Jake
Cameron
Nathan
Aidan
Michael
(a couple of) Sam
Conor
Amir
Just for some inspiration. What about Billy?
