PS3 to be demo'd at this years E3 event in the US (summer time I think) along with XBOX2 allegedly.

Both are on course for a release in 2006

Games companies will no doubt have dev-kits already or pretty soon.

The early PR bull$hit has already begun and EA have admitted they *think* the PS3 will have a slight performance advantage over XBOX2

Agreed that the fun is starting from nothing and working up, I'll import my 100,000 credits later in the game, if I do at all

How do you import a GT3 saved game? I didn't realise you could but I still have one on another memory card.

Can't see a way of doing it.

DAmage modelling has nothing to do with ps2 or ps3, its because many of the car manufacturers won't allow it.

PS3 is due in Japan in spring 05 so expect it here Q3 next year.

Xbox 2 due here for xmas.

Thats always mooted as the case Ed (excuse the pun), but then how do they get away with it in PGR2? Fair enough, its not the most advanced damage modelling, but its there all the same.

I heard its cos they didnt want to pay any fees to the manufacturers - they must make billions from the GT franchise though.

Mainly because pgr2 has a smaller range of cars.

Try getting the permission for 700+ cars, and then doing several stages of damage modelling for each different car

I can't really discuss fees etc. as its something I'm very closely linked with.
