correct mifim wrong but subarus warranty is 3yaers or 36000 miles from new as a 51 plate is now older than 3 yrs you will not get a warranty as standard i bought a 52 plate wrx in jan this year and it only had 8 months of the subaru warranty left but was lucky enough to get a extra year free

as for buying a second hand car it use to bee 3 months warranty a standard thing not sure if this has been changed now though

I nearly boght one of those, when they first came out. But bought a Fiat Bravo HGT instead, much preferred the constant break down's and bit's falling of it, it broke down within one week ( brand new) and was off the road for 10 day's, good old fiat.

I went to the launch at my local dealer's, the only reason i did'nt buy one was the dealer was a bit of an idiot, i had the money in my pocket (well bank) and everything, and wanted too sign on the dotted line, but he was to busy trying to look important with the local newspaper at his precious launch, that he just did'nt have time to sell me a car on the night ( his own word's ), so i walked away waving a big wad of cash in his face, and bought the bravo instead the very next day.

As Dan says very good

Having posted on the other Warrany thread The Proven Subaru one only covers a max claim £2500 incl Vat which wouldn't cover the cost of major engine failure but some of the After market warranty's cover up to £4000excl Vat IIRC which is far closer to an Engine rebuild cost

IMHO

Default puma girl

we had a crap sales man too, cos the cars were high in demand we bought it any how. Don't ya think tho they do that when that's the case, cos they know they'll sell it any how, that's why i've been warey of this one. all i've got from the sales bloke is "you know it's a rare car uk300 edition no 100" so they think they can wrap you round their little finger. Huh. And i suppose it work's. Well it must do i've fallin for it.

I've only just seen this thread but thought I'd reply anyway.

I've got a UK300, had it since new. It's number 99 by the way so I guess that makes them twins?
When I bought mine I was a bit gutted that they then released the STI about 4 months later.
I've now driven an STI and a p1 the STI didn't feel any different in speed the P1 only slightly.
My car gets loads of looks as well and you really don't see many around. So to sum up I'm glad I got one.
Hope you're enjoying yours?

Pete
