It is understandable
I used take great joy in writing letters to people a few years ago but, that has been left far behind.Shame but it is only a phone call,a card or a text that works for me now.I feel like writing a letter, but emailing to the friends abroad etc. is so easy that I have no motivation or, a desire to hand-write and post letters.

I know what you mean about phone call's cards or texts, email is fine too, but half the MSN is easier still

I am currently reading Sage: Instant Account User Guide

Next on the list is Bloodrights - the true story of ritual human sacrafice right here in the UK!

btw Back off the hols and thought this was a good book to read, kept me interested throughout the couple of days I was reading it.

I also bought Kathy Reichs - Cross Bones. This was very enjoyable. Completely different style of story telling from what Im used to reading. Took a short while to get into it but once half way through it I was staying up all hours of the night to get through it

Currently reading Jim Davidsons Autobiography...lol

Recently read:

The Insider - Piers Morgan
It makes a good read, once you get over what a slimy little oik he is!

Flashman - George MacDonnald Fraser
I laughed long and loudly all the way through this. One of the best I've read this year

Currently reading:

Royal Flash - George MacDonnald Fraser
Packet 2 of "The Flashman Papers", more of the same

not strictly true, without trying to sound over sad and geeky, the two different names were for the two different worlds, Pug as he was know became much more powerful on Midkemia (sp?) that he ever was on Tsurani (sp?). After visiting the Elves that lived up in the NorthLands, under the ice, Pug became a much more powerful magician than he ever was as milamber.

I am now away to rub my face up and down on some Roughcast to ensure I never spout this amount of geeky tripe every again

You paid attention then To get a rough idea of how powerful he is on Tsurani you need to read the "Empire" series co-written with Janny Wurtz.... fantastic in it's own right BTW.

Actually thinking about it the stuff he does in "Darkness at Sethanon" is pretty darn impressive!

I have just read 'ANgel and Demons' by Dan Brown, absolutely fantastic! I would love to read it again but need to wait long enough so Ive forgotten what happens! Also the Da Vinci Code, couldnt put it down, then watched the film but it was total pants!
Couldnt finish Sharon Osbournes autobiography, kept nodding off.
Every now and then I read Tiger Eyes, by Judy Blume, it was a favourite as a teenager, still love it now!

Angels and Demons is good but needed to end before the helicoper saga IMO... seemed to drag the end right out which spoilt it for me. His other book, Digital Fortress is good too, couldnt get into Deception Point though.

I saw an old couple parked up at the seafront over the weekend. She was reading a book called 'That Certain Yearning' and he was reading a TV guide. I hope I don't end up like that

Yes could have ended a lot better, it just lost it. I mean jumping from a helicopter with a tarp and still surviving.

It's been a while since this thread got updated, I've recently read All of the Flashman series up to and including Flashman and the Redskins. Escorting a wagon train of ****** and their ageing madam from New Orleans to the gold fields of the west coast to set up a brothel seems a task Harry Flashman is uniquely suited!

Hello

I just finished a book written by a friend of mine "The Ex-Boyfriend's HandBook". Very funny, and his previous book did have a Subaru in it!

Amazon.co.uk: The Ex-boyfriend's Handbook: Books: Matt Dunn

On the fourth of Colin Igguldens Emperor series at the moment. Excellent
A part fact/fiction following Julius Ceasar and Markus Brutus from childhood though to adulthood(?)

Harry Flashman is the cowardly bully from "Tom Brown's Schooldays". "The Flashman Papers" as the books are known (set in the 1800s) deal with his expulsion from Rugby for drunkeness, his seduction of his father's mistress and his adventures around the world which generally include boozing, womanizing, and despite his best efforts at an easy life, ending up at just about every major military engagement of the time (Balaclava, Isandlwana, Little Big horn, etc)

Amazon Link - You can read a few of the reviews there if you like
