I was going to wait until this evening to mention this, but as Conrad has sort of brought up the subject I'll get it over with now, then I'll be able to start on the falling down juice a little sooner...
There was talk at last weeks meeting about contacting the Mods to see if we might be able to get our own forum within Northern, and I recently noticed that the ESC (Essex Scooby Crew, I think) are trying for the same. Perhaps whoever was going to get in touch with the relevant parties could have a chat to a few of the ESC first, either to get them in on the idea and provide everyone with a little more clout, or simply to find out what steps they've taken so far, and how well this has been received by the Mods.
It would appear from reading this post in 'Policy' that they are attempting to use Geurilla tactics http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=399083
It's also an amusing read.
[Lloyd Grossman] Alan, it's over to you [/Lloyd Grossman]

I'm already in deep, highly sensitive and top secret contractual negotiations with a few Mods who are passing the details up to Si & Shaun...
I'm still waiting on responses to various questions.. however I will check out the Essex crew thread and pass this on to my Mod contact...
***
Just had a look. The thread started off with the first two Posts asking a sensible and legitimate question.. only to see it wobble completely off topic, degenerate into a muppets paradise, only to be brought back to some sort of sanity... and with no conclusion... What local club does that remind you of?
Not sure if they got anywhere, but I'll wait to see what the mod response to my query is before posting generally in the Northern section & policy..

Just to keep things update on numbers.
I'm 100% in with Tom (Rum)
PaulEds is a 99% possible as long as he gets off shift in time.
Possibly one other... 50/50 at the moment

Question: If Manda was to, like, (hypothetically, all right?) Get a flippin' ginormous platefull, sort of, and realised that her eyes were bigger than her belly, kind of, and I had to help her finish it, right?..........
....How would that be?

S'pose I'd better squeeze myself in as number 10... (go then, Downing Street & built like a house side - I can get that one in before you lot... )
CB - presumably you know of the Yorkshireman's advice to his son - fits in perfectly with Bubba's noshing plan
Sticky - do you really want to admit to reading Essex threads - you'll be joining a certain Telboy in the white stilettos shortly...
Talking of whom - you say he's in hospital?
Apple

If this were a Black Country club.. (cos that's where I'm from) we'd have pillaged the place dry, mugged all the staff, ate all the food and then burnt it down... we'd have used the cars in the car park to get home...
But seeing that we're in Yorkshire... taking advantage of the hospitality may jeapordise our standing...
Formal mode off....
