You need a hot exhaust for best results.......

so was it cells N6-P1 -> N20-P1 that you changed?
they should have been somewhere in the region of 40-45 degrees originally ?
if the car smelt of fuel it could have been hitting those cells, but i highly doubt it as it would have to be reving to 2800+ or just below.
best thing to try is to go onto map watch and see what cells you get when you do rev it. this can also be used to see where its going when you are on overrun.
i have found that you do need to open the throttle a little (just press it) if you havent got the fuel cut off turned up, so you need the ecu to throw some fuel in.
try looking at the map watch and see if you are in the right area

6-20 was what i changed op row:
IGN was 44 degree
Will post orginal INJ sett 2moro but when i change 6-20 to 1.496 thats wen everything went wrong, idle was all over the place and car was spluttering bad
Went for a run and it was missing real bad too.
Since then i have reset to orginal settings and all i can say is adjusting the top row definently alters the running of the car as 2day i have been out experimenting and adding and reducing settings in these cells change boost, misfire and idle.
The only other possible conclution would be that as i increased the fueling it has fouled the plugs making the car to runlike a bag of ****e

oh dear
cant say why that could happen as it should only ever get there on low load, like off throttle.
have a look on map trace and see if you are getting there. but i think you'd best keep it how it was if it does that !
plugs...a few WOT blasts should sort them out

when you go in to monitor, choose the bottom option, map trace (IIRC)
it then show you what cells you are using at the time.
i think the right button turns on ghosting - which leaves the cell black where you have been.
basically , if you are on overrun, note what cell you are in. its a bit small to see, but you can freeze it too - cant remember which button, just press away
happy playing

been meaning to do this for ages and finally got off my **** sat to do this and have had no problems with idle and running, but alas no pops! but i do have the ""chavy"" flamer kit on, and when this is on it does make it easier for flames!!!
watched the map tracer and it hardly ever gets into line 1 so could this be why im not getting the pops?? it goes in the other lines then on deccelerating goes into line one for one cell then stays in line 2. should this be happening???

Mine is just setup so the F/Cut is set to 5500 on the top setting, the normal fuel cut is running at 1500rpm.
Timing has also been reduced on over run..

On some cars you need to change the maf scaling so it lands in row 1 on overrun, sometimes its the BOV causing higher flow, tighten that a bit if you have an adjustable one.
As Andy mentions above, you need to increase your fuel cut recovery point too.

hi, thanks.
its for a V4 type r. ive got two F/c settings originaly 950 and 1050 so changed both to 5000. and as well as following the other settings for ign and inj. BOV is fixed forge. it goes into row 1 in cell 6 or 7 i think. bit hard to look while driving!!!! then goes bakc into row2

If you don't have access to the scaling menus, try dropping the timing in row2 above say 2400rpm, the risk here is that you land in that row during normal driving which would lead to hesitation.

thanks for repklies.
i make sure ive written down the original settings so if there is any problems then just go bakc to normal!!! i only drive at weekends when(hopefully) no traffic about, so just fun driving to be had!!!! :-)
ill try the row two settings and see what happens
thanks steve

Andy F worte something about the heaterswitch and making the pops and bangs availaible by pressing it... has anybody managed to do this?
I think it´s only available by Ecutek to make the second map running.

Markus,
The heater switch thing is on ECUTEK as you say.
You could use the air con to make a powerFC pop and bang I'm sure as there are two settings on it for air con and normal.
So you could have the fuel coming in earlier with the air con on, but you don't have switchable maps so the timing would have to be the same regardless.

with the aircon, I think the engine sees more load so will go to different rows/cells in the map. There is a commander setting that does something re the aircon, think this may just be the fuel cut thing. If it is, just change the fuel cut on that setting and if you want the pops and bangs just press in the aircon button (you will still need to adjust the top 2 rows though).

* So under [Settings] > [Rev/Idle], you'd need to set [F/C A/C] to 5000rpm, yes?
* Then under [Settings] > [IGN Map] alter the top 2 rows...
Row 1:
20, 35, 38, 40, 42, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00...
...00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00, 00.
Row 2:
20, 35, 38, 40, 42, 43, 44, 44, 44, 45...
...45, 45, 45, 45, 45, 45, 45, 45, 45, 45.
* Then under [Settings] > [INJ Map] alter the top 2 rows...
Row 1:
1.000, 0.980, 0.977, 0.973, 0.961, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496...
...1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496.
Row 2:
1.039, 0.980, 0.977, 0.973, 0.961, 0.961, 0.938, 0.922, 0.938, 0.977...
...1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000.
...As pointed out earlier. So when you switch the A/C button on, shenanigans can begin?! Is this correct?

...1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496, 1.496.
Row 2:
1.039, 0.980, 0.977, 0.973, 0.961, 0.961, 0.938, 0.922, 0.938, 0.977...
...1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000.

yes its fuel cut return
when you back off the throttle it does not add any fuel until a predetermined point,
this point can be adjusted 1. with the aircon on, 2. with the aircon off
after playing with the 1.49 fuel rows and fuel cut return and i can tell you that i got more pops and crackles with stock fuel settings, but with them set to 1.49 i got less, but they seamed to "save themselves up" and come as one big one instead, it also made my back bumper go all burnt and i had to machine polish it back off
try keeping your fuel the same, retard the ignition to zero in the top rows, and adjust the fuel cut recovery up to about 5/6k
you need your exhaust hot, if they are not big enough (pops bangs)for you then change the fuel rows.
be aware that i once thought my exhaust had fell off due to the massive boom lmfao
some advice
set the fuel recovery "mode" to enable when the aircon is ON
i set it to happen when it is OFF and while i always drive around with the aircon switched on, i did not realise that the system is constantly stopping and starting, i assume the apexi is only bothered about the compressor working, not weather or not the button is pressed in.
i drove for 2 weeks with my system ON (but had a leak so the compressor was not working) and managed to do in a tank of fuel in 160miles pmsl
