He picks it up on the half way line rounds a couple of players before slotting the ball past the keeper

Yes, was so glad to see the back of that kit !!

Shocking tackle, should have been sent off for it !!
Hopefully the FA will look at it and punish him for it

Like when Mourinho nodded off at the "Basic Football Management Course" when they talked about not using all your subs up with half the match still to go?

Goal hangers get better service - We are (I think) agreed on that .

Funnily enough hes in the box as thats where he knows he has the best chance to score. Being employed as a striker his job is to score goals - showboating elsewhere on the pitch is secondary.

If the team is playing badly Ruud is more likely to nick that vital goal that secures the win or gets a draw when its looking otherwise.

I think until recently (ronaldo and return to form of giggsy & scholes) Henry has had support from a far more attacking midfield at Arsenal than Ruud has at Utd.

I am in agreement that as a fan (**** or otherwise) then Henry is the more entertaining player and has more tricks up his sleeve. But from a managers point of view I think Ruud is the better striker - he will get the goals more often than not - esp on the big stage.

Ok, happy to be proved wrong here, it seems that allegedly Henry goes missing on the big stage according to some, so what had ruud van horseface done in the big games then? All I can remember is when he hit the bar from the spot against us last season in the 90th minute...(err big stage?? )

You might want to look at his (Ruud's) Champions League and international record. You know, BIG games, not those ickle league against your 'orrible lot.

As I have said before in this thread, I - amongst many other reds would begrudgingly admit we would like to see the arrogant sod in proper red. But most would not swap him for Ruud because Ruud is miles more reliable when it comes to the crunch. Not as much fun to watch, but more persistent.

No one is saying Henry is crap, just that his big game record is not great. Internationally, European or against us.

Wink

I couldn't resist posting this up, just to back the point of Henry not performing in "Big" games
