Hi, personally Id stay well away from Prima
Scoobyboy, nar you dont need to map them because they dont have an ECU.... they have a spark distrubuter and thats about as electronically advanced they get. so unless your advancing or retarding the ignition then you wouldnt touch that. say you fit a new turbo, the most you would need is an hours session on some rollers and a screw driver changing the fueling (unless you need to change the jet) and away you go. EP motorsport in stoke would be definately recommended for someone who tunes the 5 and knows what they are doing. hes in it for the car not the flashy bling bling products

Ian Nixon is the guy to speak to. Quailty chap, knows what hes talking about, very clued up mechanic who doesnt bullpoo you.
Scoobfan, thats unlucky mate, Ive yet to meet 1 person who has not had a problem with Prima when theyve used them, over priced monkeys

have you ever heard of oil coming from the engine and getting sprayed all over the inside of the engine bay when your driving it?
thats what minds ended up doing but couldnt figure out what was causing it?
any ideas?

As for the people that have said they're unreliable, you've either been fed duff info or you/your mates, owned dogs . They're perfectly reliable if looked after well (as has been said). I've now owned mine for 5 years and it's been good as gold. And as for them not being a good purchase for track days, don't any of you remember the gtt cup series from the late 80's, early 90's?
