I'm local 'ish' and yes the snow will be melted by the time you arrive, however I don't think they will finish the track repairs in time.

My advise would be to re-scedule, to avoid disappointment.

Better to be safe then sorry, otherwise you have a wasted trip.

I live next to the track.

Here's what I've just posted on the Ringers list, it's looking better by the day.

>Rain rain rain rain. :-)

The snow is going very quickly indeed and Claire watched a snow plough going round the track yesterday whilst walking the dog!! I've never seen that before! I guess they *really* want the track to open for easter. :-)

Cheers,
Karl.

yeah - ive got the fingers crossed - as has just been mentioned, the reckoning here is that they cant afford not to have it open for Easter, it'll be a busy weekend and they'll lose sooo much cash if its not open.......

They have said that the track will definately be open for the VLN endurance race this weekend.

So I guess that means it will be open to the public, and me, next weekend then

Thats the info I was given, you can see where the dry line 'WAS' on Friday.

Much better now though, will try and find a more recent one.

Hoping to catch the last bit of the race but it depends how long it takes to drive my 15 year old clutter the 275 miles from Calais.

Gary, I just been talking to your confused compadre, make sure you don't want anything doing to your bag of berets at RR this weekend, it's the first VLN and they'll be very busy.

I am trying to get it booked in locally!

I just had a nightmare that I would be barping down towards Aremburg and my long brake pedal would get a bit longer!
