Anyone old enough to remember their first reaction as a kid (or 20-something, Chris
) when they saw one of these...http://www.carclassic.com/html/DL78.htm

Would be a good opportunity for folks to bring along some syuff to go in the yearbook, which I haven't forgotten about, despite the fact that I've had no PM's to remind / hassle / irritate me

Or just the usual crew and one extremely wealthy PR company, willing to put a small percentage of it's profits towards a bit of fun for the lads.

What about an Delta S2? Probably the most capable of all Group B's, until the Toivenen incident.
RS200? Supposed to be a real handful on the limit
BDA MK2 Escort? Oh yes. Might not have the stupid power or pace, but an exhaust note to die for, and well within (?) our (assumed) budget

I thought we were looking for a '1 careful elderly lady owner, never raced or rallied, used for shopping trips only...etc'...
From the picture below, I don't think this was owned by an 80 year old Gran on her way to Sainsbury's.. Do you?

Looks more like Dave driving Dazza's car on a quick 'can I have a qiuck spin to try out your PPP?' test...

Nice find Al, looks very tidy indeed.
Are we arranging an impromptu to discuss this further (the subject, not necessarily this particular car), or has there been enough discussion already? Is it time for action?

edit to add, the 205 in CB PM's sounds great but where is it & how do we get to see it etc?

Depends on the money we'll each be putting in & number of people in really..
I'm happy with £300 at the moment.. Not great, but better than £0.
With the 5, that'll obviously give us £1500 for which we need to get the car & trailer?
