As gutmann Pug says not good to time yourself as there is far more important things to concentrate on, than time
Checking my friends incar video, MY02STiUk PPP my very first Lap of the Ring BTG was about 12.30 mins IIRC
After 10 laps (using the dash clock for a Totally inaccurate time) approx 9.30-9.50mins BTG
so a bit of a slow Coach really but I remember two very important points
A) Enjoyed myself
B) Drove the Car home

IMHO sub 9 minnutes is very respectable, sub 10 is pretty decent if you haven't done enough laps to know the circuit; that's my view for when I eventually get round to going.
Anyway, to answer a question above, IIRC the radical turbo did 7:19 for the full lap

Purley out of interest John ....what kinda times have you done in your various cars?
I know the scoob was about 8.20 ....what about the 200sx and cossie and others?
and most important of all ....whats was the most fun?
I think I have as much or more fun in the pug than the scoob. Plus its 100 times cheaper.

My old 330d went round in 8min47
My old E39 M5 managed an 8min25
I did a 9min12 in the 330d when it was wet, cold and snowing gently!
My most vivid memory of the Ring was my first trip. John F and a number of us decided to go and my first lap in Johns westie was also his first lap ever. Laugh? We had to, otherwise we'd have shat our pants.
Picture the scene.... Powerful rwd car on a wet track, on a v.cold morning with no idea where the track went, and with candles for headlights! What do you mean Adenauer Forst is a 90 left? LOL

Well, in my old Golf it's about 13:45 HTH, not as quick as you guys but that's "home to home" including a lap of the track and a cup of tea back at home.

I'm definately going to the ring around June/July time depending on the opening times. Are they available yet?
I'm going with a couple of friends that have been there before.
Got Johns dvd and played it many times on x box so hopefully I'll have a good idea of where I'm going on the track.
Cant wait for it, havent stopped thinking abotu it since watching top gear!
