It was me m8, saw the clio but didn't realise it was you, sorry thought you still had the mini. That meet at the cat & fiddle takes me back, first meet in a scoob, new tyres on that day and we go up snake pass!
Seems like a life time and a few grands worth of mods ago.

the mini was my ex-girlfriends, we split about 18months ago.....but like everything........you move on you move up !

Maybe we should have a mini convoy up to Stoke from Stafford, seeing as there will be at least three cars going from here and I'm not 100% sure where I am going!?

Guys, if you are interested, I've found a supplier in Stoke who can offer a set of 4 toyo T1S 215/40/17 tyres for 70 quid a piece plus 25 quid to fit all 4.
I'm hopefully going to buy a set tomorrow and I'll keep you posted as to stock availability as it's a "while stocks last" offer.

ps: cheapest I've found on any internet site is 77 quid, supplied only and some want carriage on top..

Jonto, Longton Motor Accessories on the strand in Longton are selling them for 70 quid a corner.
Ring Jamie on 01782-599304. He's put a set aside for my collection next wednesday ( payday ).
If you mention that I gave you the number as I've bought a fair bit of gear off him over the last few years.

Stafford tyres is the place on the Marston Road, though they will be a lot dearer than £40 a corner for 17"s!
I bought 4x Toyo 215/40/17's for £270 inc P&P from Leigh Tyres on 18/05/04 (01702) 474711 which works out at £67.50 per tyre, but then paid £40 to fit them (which I thought was dear) - some excuse about them being brand new alloys and needing to take their time to fit them.

Has anyone tried Hot Lane tyres on Sneyd hill in Smallthorne.... i had some Toyo's in 15's off him for my original WRX wheels and he charged me £50 a corner fitted!!Not sure how this compares but i have always used him for all of my cars. Cant find their phone number now...typical!

I'm gonna be bringing 2 mates down with Scoobs... 1 owns a M-reg silver wrx, the other, a black R-reg 2 door... with 400bhp + which will be up for sale soon too...
As were coming from the Crewe area, any chance of meeting up with some of you in Stoke before the trek to stafford...?

Slammed, we're not meeting in Stafford mate, we'll be meeting at Tescos in Meir Park, just after Meir tunnel on A50.

I'm probably in Manc the night before, so will meet you all at Meir Park (if I remember where it is!!) ... if I get lost I can always phone a friend!!

Because I am no where near stoke, am going to amsterdam tomorrow night so will be skint come next weekend, and I need time to prepare my journey and to make sure there is a decent soul night on for my chosen weekend
