Looks very nice. How do you get the bushes to grow out the boot?

Only jealous

I was but these come with a helper spring and a spare set of springs so I'm hoping that the ride will be a little softer. I got the bolts today for the suspension, subaru charged me £6 odd for a bolt (x that by 6) and £4.34 for the nuts (x that by 8) = fecking rip off that exclude the vat.

I'm might have a spare set if you want. Are the top mounts adjustable on the Cuscos?

I thought I best give a little update as I've not posted for a couple of months.

Exterior - The car was in the bodyshop for the most of November having all the stonechips done, this meant that the bonnet, the front wings and the front doors were resprayed, At the same time I had the door handles and the wing mirrors colour coded, the rear bumper had a scuff on it so that was done at the same time. I then decided to buy the 22B vents, Later style front grill and larger bonnet scoop so that needed to be colour coded. The front bumper was changed for a later one but as I knew I was going to do this the old one didn't get resprayed. The coilovers have been fitted, the ride is a little harsh but I'm looking into other spring rates.

Coilovers fitted

Interior - This has been changed for a full sti V5 interior, very nice indeed. The boost gauge has now been fitted on the steering shroud, I have peaked a little over 1.5 bar and holds 1.4 to 6k.

Still to do

I have got sitting in the garage a home made water spray kit, 2 aquamist nozzles, boost switch, water pump and tank just need to find the time to fit it

Need to replace, Last week the the megan headers started to blow so need to find a suitable replacement, I was going to port the OE headers and refit them.....Or should I just bite the bullet and get a set of gruppe S ?

If anyone knows of a secondhand set drop me a mail I would like to get these on the car before the rolling road on the 25th Feb.

Hi Simon,

Will I need a tweak on the map when I fit them?

Probably be okay for ported Headers, but wise to check the fuelling.

With knock link and EGT (I think you have now) you maybe able to check it youself.

For Gruppe-s yes map tweak needed..

Some pictures....

Before wrapping

After wrapping, I thought that 75ft would have been enough but I need a little more

I'll have some lunch and then I think it's time to fit them.

If you need some more wrap, there's a place in Ditton that keeps it in stock, although they close at 1 IIRC, and there's also F1 Brands Hatch up at West Kingsdown (near the main entrance to Brands)

Nice

I was lucky with my Megans when they split around the weld. Drove to Powerflow in my lunch break & they welded them back up again

Mate that means that your car is quite possibly going to be even louder

Thanks for the info Tim - Big Kev came to the rescue and gave me 15ft that he had in the garage.

There lovely - and yes just been for a test drive it's deeper on tick over and all hell lets go over 3k, there's no activity on the KL and the egt temps are around 650 ish on boost (I can peak to 1.5 again )

I'm hopefully seeing Simon on Wednesday next week

Sorry mate, forgot to mention I got the EGT adaptor from you

Iain - what temps are you seeing when cruising at 70mph? the car is fine around the B roads, but when I came into work this morning at 60mph I'm seeing 600 degrees in 5th off boost....There is no activity on the KL and like I said the other evening the Lambda Link only works when it wants too, the Lambda display is showing amber when it is working (must check the earth). Needless to say I sat a 55mph off boost, wednesday can't come quick enough.

OMG - had the remap, I'm really looking forward to the RR day on the 25th. I now peak a little over 1.5 and then hold 1.5 , I just know the box will be giving way shortly.

Thanks again Simon for fitting me so quickly.

OK so I do see 600 deg, but as I never need to boot it for too long I "never" see it

Can you say where the boost starts in rpm, gets to 1.5 and so on to the red line please?
