Need a decat sometime soon for my MY98 STi 4 so might as well get it now!

Thing is not sure exactly what i need. Car is running a jap cat back exhaust (Grenade i think it is) so dont know if this is 3" bore? is a standard sti system 2.5" bore?

If someone knows which pipe i need then put me down for it lol.

Thanks.

Smile Downpipe

Hi

I am not a regular contributor but saw the group buy details recently, is this still open and could I join in, still deciding and this may make up my mind. I have a MY00 Classic with a standard centre section so assume all would be OK.

How easy are they to fit ?

Bill

No its not to late ,if we say WEDNESDAY MIDDAY ( 9TH ) for a dead line date,so all those who have put there name down but not confirmed ...get your wallet out.

If you are good with spanners then they are not to bad to fit.

Question

Ian

I'm going to be wrapping my centre section but should I leave the sports cat exposed or can I wrap over that as well?

I thought I saw somewhere that H & S were offering a fitting service included in this offer for £50 (+ VAT), is this right ?

Also what is the reason for "wrapping" the downpipe ?

Mine was waiting for me when I got back yesterday, must say quality, looks
absolutely EXCELLENT. Be a shame to lag it, an cover it up.
Only prob was the centre conn joint was not what I ordered ( flush fitting not sprung joint type ), it is possible someone may have the sprung joint, not flush fitting, just check what u got. (not all have gone out yet btw )
Rang up an spoke to someone ( sorry cant remember who it was )
Going to send proper joint end one out tonite, and pick up original.
Tho it was minor c0ckup, now realised, and pretty much rectified; not complainin at all. Just like to say service was brilliant.

Wink From Mongoose

Theres a manufacturer called Blue Flame exhausts in Skelmersdale Lancs/Cheshire border who will custom build you one of 2 downpipes (1) is an open neck (2) is a 2 into1 which is far better i believe. I have just booked mine in for the latter and the cost is £184 ............... BUT thats fitted. If you take a look on the TSL this retails at £229.13 plus £9.99 postage. On Scoobynet its £270 (£243 with member discount) If anyones interested sign below as a group buy an d they are getting back to me for a group buy downpipe price FITTED

For those who need aother parts eg mid section or backbox plaese add it to your listr and when theres 10 with whichever section or full systems you want Ill ask for a price

Cheers guys...............I'll let you know what mines like after the 21st Feb for those interested

ps Rememeber Blue Flame are the OFFICIAL manufacturer to Mongoose Systems
