The Viera comes with a built in Freeview tuner, so saves you a scart connection if you're currently plugging in a freeview box, plus has a number of scart etc connectors on it too, so you're getting a fully functional set rather than just a screen.

yesterday bought the panasonic 37" Veira TV, its Huge in the room but the actual telly is just as big as a 42" TV... well chuffed with it, picture is getting better the more we watch it. costs us bang on £1999 although it does look smart, freeview built in and 3 other scrat sockets. PC connectivity so I'll be rigging that up tonight and playing some DivX movies

Panasonic also sell the viera screens on their own without any speakers or tuner, (for a much lower price than the full viera set).

They only come with a pc vga connector ootb, but do allow you to add in additional input boards, so you can specify whether you want scart, svideo, composite, or component video input (or a combination of the above if you so wish).

Have a look at http://www.av-sales.co.uk as they list all the available options on there...
