I love the evo's... howerver the MR is just out of my price range.
As the evo 260 is £19,995 + 3 yrs service etc.. do you think they would give me the larger spoiler instead??

sounds like a good day out!!!
Most Evo's on the MLR say the 260 is approx 280 + tho a few have been spot on at 261bhp .
However if yrs is still new with only a few 000's miles engine might still be tight.
Best of luck

All I need then is the ECU and the down pipe.....with my own bits

The problem with that is the fact that your left with a hole in the middle of your boot where the EVO 260 central spoiler mounting was....
I'm going to leave the spoiler as original , had enough of high spoilers with the P1

Also the cars are sooooooo tight till they run in and loosen up.......i have mine now at @ 3,500 miles or so..........cat out, induction kit........and its a completely different car, comes in hard and early and pulls straight through to the rev limiter, I doubt I would be able to shake it off in my old 320 bhp Evo 6.

Which exhaust/induction did you fit..... did you do 1,000miles or so before altering anything??

Car made 262 bhp with 365 torque.....he said the engine was still tight and needed to be run in more still (4k on it).............that bloody big cat on it.....
Ah well ........about to order full APS exhaust system from turbo back (doing away with all cats) and an upgraded ecu. SHould have about 320 to 330 when I get it up and running.
looking forward to that

1. What number is your car ? - the reason I ask is that whilst looking at the 260 (which i eventually bought) the sales guy said that the later ones were producing at least 277BHP. He went on to say that some of the earliers ones HAD come with lower power outputs (not less than 260 BHP) but now more time was being spent on factory mapping. Now I just though yeh, yeh, sales B.S. - but I now wonder if there is any truth in what he was saying ? (mines #0715 BTW). He really did seam to know alot about the 260 - the exact differences between it and the MR, and lots of other little bits that sales guys dont normally know.
2. Do you know what you car made at the wheels ? That the more accurate figure to use when comparing. Whos were the rollers (PE, Star, etc ?)
3. Out of interest what did your mates classic make ?
Cheers Andy
