You still on a top mount intercooler?

400 at 1.5 bar from a VF34?? if that doesnt work then a GT35? bit of a difference!

A bit of a difference indeed. Atleast then there will be no doubts about the output a GT35 can produce.

The turbo has only been on two weeks so in these temps the top mount isn't much of an issue. Then after christmas I am either going front mount or charge cooler route.

I just have to add that no 400bhp claims were made by TSL they estimated around 330 - 350. It was just the rolling road at Well lane that came up with this. Like I have said before either way I am pleased with the results so far. Like most of us my car is an ongoing project

Regards Darren

TSL's claims seem eminently sensible then.

Depends if the said "GT35" is a bolt on with an IHI P20 exhaust housing, as some have been advertised. The outputs from these are hotly debated. The "proper" GT35 with external wastegate and custom up and down pipes, ie the wheels in their proper housings, is I suspect a completely different kettle of fish. The debate then will rage about whether they do 500 BHP on pump fuel, not 400 BHP.

Like I said the quest for more power never ends. If it was that important i'd buy an Evo and take it to Mr Norris. Like my best mates car http://proactive-it.co.uk/evo/engine1.jpg
I might have to put in an appearance on this at Elvington this year 175bhp / 120ft/lbs oh and only 148kilos http://www.proactive-it.co.uk/the_spondon.jpg

IT support? Says it all really. Would that be first second or third line?

Currently Technical Director of an IT solutions company. I forgot to mention all the Oracle and SAP stuff I do.

Thats premier league stuff not Sunday league IT support issues.

LOL Yeah something like that. I stopped doing 1st Line / help desk 10 years ago.

I started life as an Oracle Developer for a company that provided ERP solutions.
Then I lived in Oz for a while working for British American Tobacco in Sydney as a senior network analyst. After that IT manager for SFX ( the company that manages a certain Mr beckhams advertising deals). Started my own company 3 years ago and whilst it's still in its infancy things are going fairly well. Perhaps you might like a job on our 20 strong help desk? I might even make you team leader or some other mundane feel good job title

Bit off topic but friendly banter never did anyone any harm.

omg, can't believe the I've got more qualifications than you thread went on this long?

How unbelievably rude!

full credit to banks for keeping quiet! fully qualified doctor yet with the electronics and technical know how to mix it with anyone on here. You don't see him bragging!

as for your turbo and your unquestionable faith in TSL, good luck!

next time you speak to mr. sainz, ask him how often he sits idling in traffic, and how many of his rally stages involve using under 50% throttle for 95% of the time.

then there is fuel consumption, and antilag to exclude from the mix when mapping a road car.

hope it works out for you.

Adam, 550bhp gt35/40 owner.

Not surprising, apart from going fast it beats a Scooby in every respect. Except everyone knows when they see you in it that you didn't double your turnover last year

No i didnt go. The results were farcical. A standard car, IIRC, varied between 250bhp and 300+bhp.
