Whether you think it is funny or not, your action cannot be regarded as those of a loyal friend. I am not making any excuses for what he does, but I would question your motives for the way you spoke to him and for publishing it here.

Leslie...

Give it a rest mate...

This is a humorous thread where beer swilling, motor enthusiasts get a chance to slag off someone who has different persuasions in a good humoured way.....

Cut your pc nonsense and let us have a laugh...

I've got 2 good gay friends and one has already seen this thread and he thought it was a pretty good laugh ... so for once..please give it a rest...
Thanks

to be fair I see Leslies point, glad your not my mate, not that Id have anything of that nature to confess to like but come on, as a so called friend of his you could have handled it much more nicer and wouldnt mock him on a public forum.

SiPie, his post had nothing relevant to political correctness?

Apologies Dave, I stand corrected.

Perhaps then it has more to do with moral correctness and in which case, if someone wants to slag a mate off for cross-dressing or for being a jobby jabber, then....so what...?? His mate should be strong enough to slag him back about something, and if not then he should get some new (softer mates)

Sounds like the world has gone soft....

Tell it how it is....and deal with it IMHO

If one of my mates was a cross dresser we would royally take the pi55! it would be found funny but we wouldn't stop being his mate. although on the end of a night out one of the other lads may try and pull him in a drink fueled haze of confusion

It just depends how you get on with your friends IMHO. In my group of friends anything non life threating is target for abuse!

yeah but the point is these people who are into these strange things like this guys mate has kept it quiet for a reason, if hes been hiding a secret for ages its because hes scared hes gonna get the **** ripped outta him, and when it finally comes out it turns out hes right, his mates take the pi55, makes him feel small etc and that guys probably sat dwelling at home now thinking I aint got no proper mates..... some people dont mind being taken the pi55 out off, I dont cause I give it back just as good and its all taken in jest but something off such a sensitive nature like that aint very nice is it

Dave

One of my straight mates took alot of slagging from the rest of us when he confessed to enjoying the fact that his g/f used to take him from the other end with a strap-on (Alec if you are reading this....... )

I certainly don't think any less of him ............. but it sure is good fun slagging him

Thanks for the replies. And the PM's. Sorry I couldn't reply to you all, but to the ones who wanted his number-I'm not a bloody dating agency. Now stop it. I haven't got any pictures and even if I had I wouldn't send them. Pervs!

To the rest of you who think I've not been a very nice friend, bollocks!
I've sent this thread to the rest of the lads and to him. It was a good ice-breaker for some of the intolerant ones. Once they'd had a good moan about it they could see the funny side to it. No doubt the **** taking is going to "drag" on for a bit but it's harmless banter. We're not going to fall out over it and anybody who did wasn't much of a mate in the first place.

Obviously a few ground rules will have to be put in place.
No ladies wear in public.
No make-up in public.
No trying to drag us round the shops for a bit of window shopping.
Don't talk when we're watching the footie.
Don't bitch if we leave the toilet seat up.
We watch action movies not the wizard of oz.
Liza Minnelli is not allowed in the CD player. (CD is compact disc not cross dresser)
Voting for contestants on reality tv shows will not be permitted.

If you can think of anything else, please feel free to add to it.

He's got a great sense of humour (he needs one) and understands.

SiPie,

My post had nothing to do with PC as you might realise by now anyway. Anyone who has read other posts I have made will know exactly what I think of PC and how it is dragging this country down the tubes.

My point was that this is a delicate subject and the guy concerned was understandably embarrassed to admit to it. If I had a friend who did that sort of thing I just would not even refer to it out of common decency. Certainly would not feel it was necessary to ask him and definitely not to publish it on a public forum like this.

Maybe you think it is old fashioned, but I feel it is important to show loyalty to a friend who has not actually done anything wrong. I would not want to use his example as a way of generating cheap jibes in the public arena. I don't apologise for feeling like that.

There are plenty of acceptable ways to take the **** out of your friends, but not in such an offensive manner as this.

I agree with your standpoint re loyalty to friends, etc............ but FFS, men are men (well apart from the one's that buy clothes from Miss Selfridge's ) and if they can't be confronted by their mates about their sexuality and hobbies, then who the hell can rip the **** out of them ........

anyway......

As far as I know, this guy's name has not been mentioned and his anonimity has been retained.

No damage done and gave alot of people a good laugh

Good harmless fun.

Leslie, get over yourself!
Nothing I have said has been offensive, childish maybe but not offensive.
We're a group of friends who have known each other half our lives, through thick and thin. I posted this episode for people to have a chuckle over, like all concerned have.
I haven't set him up for public ridicule or anything, nobody knows who it is. It could be any number of people I know. It could be you for all anyone on here knows, or probably cares. Apart from 1 or 2 comments most have been in the same vein as my original post i.e. funny.
For the record, my mate feels happier it's out in the open. The **** taking will die down and we'll move onto the next thing. Probably my turn for some ridicule soon. but then again, I'm whiter than white and don't have any sordid secrets. None that I'm going to share on here anyway!
