Well, I've had a few beers so I'm getting a bit mouthy, so I'll go first.

VTA dump valves are pointless. They'll affect the fuelling on your car and make it idle funny and be LESS responsive than before. Even aftermarket recirculating dump valves aren't worth it as the standard recirculating dump valve is good enough for the job.

I think he should get an induction kit. And make sure you put loads of oil on the filter element.
