Default I voted no

I dont really approve of it and wouldn't do it myself. I feel the same way about gay sex but I wouldn't ban it or discriminate against those who wish to do it. Its a matter of personal preference and concience.

We all ultimately pay for any wrong that we do, but philosophically speaking what may be a wrong act for one person to commit may be perfectly acceptable for another.

This philosphy would only have a bearing on people who believe that there is some spirtual aspect to our beings. To the others, do what you like, your only worm fodder anyway.

I voted against the ban, not that I've ever hunted or ever will but the way the Govt has forced this through is completely unethical and undemocratic, IMHO.

Our personal freedoms are being eroded by this Government, laws are being passsed to satisfy the lowest common denominator.

Shock horror. Some people have the wit to look beyond their feelings about the immediate subject and vote according to their view of how the government is going about this and their apparent legistalive priorities.

Can't stand it. It's barbaric and like something from the middle ages. The arguments for keeping the hunt are ludicrous - "how are the farmers to deal with foxes eating their chickens?" - Jesus man, do you think they call out the local hunt every time they lose a chicken? If you do then you really are a Berkshire Hunt.

I voted NO to the ban.

Whatever my opinion on fox-hunting I really fear for the way the government panders to a few possible voters by shoving laws through to satisfy the ignorant.

Looking at this poll maybe Labour will not get many votes extra due to the ban??

Weird - we need 1,000 votes - come on!

"Weird" that other people dont have the same blinkered troll like view as you and care about "how" the country is run - not just the rights/wrong of any given legislation.

If anything the whole epsiode shows why we need an uneletected second house. The whole point being they are unelected. They can view legislation on its merits - not whether it fits the perceived populist vote they need to pander to to get re-elected in 5 months time. If the originators of the parliament act knew it had been used for what is in reality "trivial" legislation they'd be turning in their graves.

I voted YES to the ban - whilst the labour rabble should be focussing on more important political matters, its great to see a halt to an antiquated barbaric method of animal cruelty, from the slaughtering of an exhausted fox, to the mass breeding of ickle wickle hounds who live in crappy cold kennels with no TLC , to the crimes against fashion as executed by the tunic wearing toffs ..
For once; well played Mr Blair!

The house of Lords are still part of our governmental system, and as such you have to respect their authority. So in the anti's own words, just deal with it!
