Used to work in MK a while back - its a fair jaunt tho compared to Peterborough/Cambridge isnt it? Is there a reason you dont use either of them?

I see loads on Scoobs in and around Huntingdon but black Alf`s dont tend to get too much notice except when they drive past me gaff cos it is noisey!!!
I will be mostly sideways at the following locations on a daily basis.
Bramton Hut roundabout circa 8.30 am on the way to work followed possibly by a circuit at Spittalls but usually too busy in the mornings.........on return trip its very sideways going left at Brampton Hut going South on the A1.....a little sideways then at Buckden then its full bore sideways at the roundabout at the eaton socon end of the bypass (my personal favourite ) probably do a full circuit on that one mucho drifty then tesco`s roundabout for a little more.
Every day i look forward to going and coming back from work its the bit in the middle which drives me nuts!!!!
I always wave God knows why but I do.
sorry arron , saw a 2 foot scoobydoo in a WR1 coming out of macdonalds by tesco on Saturday . Now I know it wasn't you ( he didnt wave either )

That'll make 3 I've seen! Not a bad ratio for a small area is it?

Cheers,

Matt.

Oh and maybe you guys can help on the questions I've posted on general:

Decent ICE place in Cambs/Peterborough?
Whose the best dealership out of Cambridge (Welch's) and Peterborough (Donalds I think)?
hi
had mine last oil change at donalds. They cleaned it nicely, charged me for a hire car, but didn't tighten the filter up properly so it leaked oil , which eventually found its way onto the heatsheild.... need i say more...

No! - I got my one from Westaway in Spratton a couple of months ago - they've been very good with a couple of minor problems - and the drive there can certainly be entertaining if you use the correct route!

On the ICE front, I think it will depend on what you want done. If you're looking for a simple install done at a reasonable price the give DAP in Cambridge (Newmarket Road) a call (01223 365064) I've sent quite a few cars over there for simple installs (they've just done the screen and amp in my 54 plate WRX) and they do a really nice job. If you're looking something a bit more complex, I think you'll be better off with somewhere offering more bespoke services.

As for the servicing, mine has only done 5k miles, so I've only had the 1k mile service so far, but it went to Welch's. I took it there rather than to Donalds because my old man bought Welch's Ex-demo car back in 98 and always had it serviced there. The level of service has always been great, so I decided to stick with what I know!!!

Its nice to see that we have a damn fine collection of Scoobs in our little area.

In reponse to local dealers query; have heard that Quenby in Baldock are good.
That is me too.

Thats me and it`ll be mine at Tesco`s too feeding my face!!!
I chenged from Welch`s basically cos Milton Keynes supplied the car and nothing appears to be too much trouble whereas Welch`s dont even clean your car for you and never have!!!!
I have used them for Years and never had trouble tho so cant be unfair.
Drew at Milton Keynes is just a little more switched on that Julian

Hmmm, maybe I'll book mine in there for its 10k service then!

Just got rid of my VW Golf PD150, and the service from VeeDub was awesome - car was always valeted upon return.

I was most upset last month when Scoob emerged from Service bay as dirty as when he went in!!!

Well I`m used to mine being dirty too after having used Welch`s for Years. I did own a few BM`s in between and was used to a service wash and was refreshed to see Drew organising my car to be cleaned as part of its service at Milton Keynes.
They also fitted without charge a few bits and bobs for me that I actually supplied.
Great service.

Definitely not you at tesco's cus you're plate is fairly distinctive and I would have recognised it!

I might nip down to your showroom sometime with my new motor as I might be interested in a new kitchen soon ;-) However, looking at the cars you seem to have had, I don't think you'll be cheap enough for a tight b@stard like me ;-)

If you can afford to buy from somewhere else you can afford to buy from me.
We offer the "FULL" service not a bit of a one with everything extra
30 Years trading Familly bizz.
Two showrooms one here the other at Bedford.
I used to get a lot of "I cant afford you" comments when I had my M3 it was quite rewarding proving to folk.
I`d like to think I have a good car cos I`m good at my job.
My advise to you wherever you shop is to be realistic on your "OVERALL" budget and stick to a KBSA member.

I'm in Huntingdon too, but as I work locally you'll normally only see me in the scoob when I'm on my way out of town!

Joolz - do you drive to the station? I've passed a green classic turning in there a couple of times.

There seems to be a DBM classic working at the hospital now, and there's another classic (can't remember the colour) at a small engineering firm in Godmanchester. There's a WR blue STi that parks outside a small unit on the hill and I've seen another WR blue STi driving round the ring road a few times. I think there's a WR blue UK300 in Brampton - and I think I followed the same one through Cambridge tonight. I've also seen a red classic driving past the hospital a couple of times - I think it's on the one of the new estates.

Finally

Anyone fancy a curry meet at the Maharajah in Huntingdon? Or just a meet?
