I also choose life, choose decent beer, choose nice holidays, choose a good job, choose a Type-R and choose not to have a ****-sign inducing flamer kit!
serious question tho - do you burn your bumper and what excuses have you got ready for when you get pulled for being a ***?

This is so surreal, I think I will pop out and cancel my subscription to Red line and max Power Magazine.
Still keep the subscription to practical Motor mechanics going I think.

I probably have enough bits in my shelf lying round to make one.
And some people actually pay for it
1 old ignition coil, 1 spark plug, old injector, nut to fit previous, bit of pipe, switch, 555 timer chip and a darlington driver.
Shall I?
hmmm...fit before the Turbo = anti lag

I don't expect people to stop fitting flamer kits because they cause me mental harm, but I hope my adverse posts might get people to think twice.

And in response to what gets my goat....i believe each to their own, as you have your opinion and i have mine. I like my flamer but don't try to force it on people, and you in turn should not try to discourage people just because you dislike them.
I'm pretty certain most scooby owners can think for themselves as regards to whether they should fit a flamer and don't need your thoughts on something which is not going to affect you. I doubt they would consult you before fitting a cd player, why should they when choosing a flamer or not?
But the one thing that pi$$es me off is people driving with fog lights on when it's not foggy???? Thats my one bug bear.

1. Sorry, officer, the car does it on its own.

2. Sorry, officer, it didn't do it, it wasn't me
To which PC Plod replies 'sorry mate, your fackin nicked me old beauty - I can see a button marked 'FYRE' written on it'

3. Sorry officer, you must be mistaken

At the end of the day it's all about fun, I'm certainly no chav, I'm a married man with kids, not some 17-year-old corsa owner. I don't own anything made by Burberry, and I don't buy Lax Power, Fart car or any of the other rags. I don't just do 'Chav' mods. My car runs around 340bhp and has serious brakes and handling mods, and I use it on the track quite often. Not the behaviour of a chav.

Turbotits... People with flamer kits do affect me, because I am tarred with the same brush as the "*******" when I am out in my car. Can't you see that?

a: your car is flaming
b: they're small minded like yourself.
And flamer kit or not, with some fairly serious mods flames will occur anyway (as mine does)
So effectivley you saying if a car flames (kit or not) then the person driving it is a ***? Because 9 out of 10 people won't be able to tell the difference from the flame anyway.

I was thinking about doing it to the landy....it stopped spitting flames when I sorted the sloppy timing chain
Woudn't dream of doing to my scoob - it attracts too many low lives as it is Plus I intend on selling it as a virgin "untouched" example

I do see his point, don't you? Basically, Impreza owners will be tarred with the Nova-driving Max Power **** brush - thats why it annoys people.
You can say what you like in defence of flamer kits, fact of the matter is that Mr & Mrs Do-Gooder-Snob don't know the difference between a 'Max' Nova with a tosser and an Impreza with an 'adult who likes fun' driving.
It IS in the same league as LED washer nozzles and hub-caps that spin when you stop...

I don't think thats true Drexel. I've seen some really highly modified Impreza's, Skylines, Evo's etc and the flames are nothing like the ones from a flamer kit - they just look fake dude. Hell, it's like the damn bat mobile from the 60's!
