I thought that was in The Bourne Supremacy? Got a bit far fetched IMO especially the bit where the Lada is managing to push the G Wagen sideways however, the chase with the mini in Identity was brilliantly choreographed

Plus, another vote for Ronin here, I personally prefer the second chase, with the 406 & the 'M' 535. mart360 I disagree, Frankenheimer was the first to use RHD cars with LHD dashes so the actors could participate, hence De Niro's expressions of sheer terror On the other hand though, Natasha McElhone appeared to be seriously enjoying herself

Natasha McElhone was doubled a short fat balding bloke in a wig - next time you watch it when the beamers going down the road into oncoming traffic - look at the hands on the wheel - oh the horror's of "making of" documentaries on DVD's.

Taxi - remake. Luc besson is still attached to the project (producer I think). From the trailers I've seen it does 'copy' most if not all the great scenes from the original. However, the original is still the best. This is another shoddy remake of a classic film, ala The Italian Job (though that has grown on me, at least they used minis!)

No you misunderstand I am fully aware that she was not driving the car (FFS is it even possible that a woman CAN drive a car?), but for the close-ups she was in the fake LHD car whilst it was being driven for parts of the chase. I was referring to the fact that she was obviously enjoying the experience far more than Mr De Niro

I know its only a small "chase", if that, but assuming one car following another with the intent of stopping it comes into play, I rather like Enemy of the State. Two cars, ramming each other into the side of trains, Gene Hackman at the wheel and Will Smith leaning out the window with a pump action shotgun.

Shame it lasted all of 5 seconds.

I don't see the 'new' Italian Job as a remake, as the only things it shared with the original is the title of the film, a 'job' in Italy and Minis!!

Personally I think it's a great film in its own right and it would not have received a lot of the unfair critisim if it was just called something else!!

I'm not a huge fan of the original as IMHO it's a crap film with reasonable car scenes in it!!

I started to watch Ronin and fell asleep in the first few minutes and have never bothered with it since!

Ahh - I get yer!

Probably the most hairraising bit in Ronin is the bloke in the Audi S8 - the real driver was in the boot with a TV screen - now whats what you call PlayStation...
