Selling up
Hi Mate,
I have been putting it of for ages, trying to find other solutions, but have had to make the decision that I have to reluctantly let it go.
I have taken a new role in my new job and relocating to Paris, have previously been working there for a week staying in hotel then coming home at weekends, now will be more permanent. Was thinking of storing it, thinking of selling our house so could keep it, but we havent been able to shift the house it since it went on the market at beginning of the year, and with house prices the way they are we are set to lose so much money seems pointless, so we will rent it out while we are living over there and have to sell the beast instead... Ce La Vie as they say.
Ad will be posted here and on PistonHeads over the weekend... Don't all stampede at once

a MY01 sti would be a cool beast not sure on the compatibility though, I'd guess the intake pipe might fit and maybe the anti lift kit. i do know the back box hangers are in different places on new age cars. best off checking the model numbers on the vendors websites...that way you can see if there are different versions for different MY's

Yes, afraid so. Its a bitter sweet moment, as I started a new job and expected to be there for a little while yet and a bit of time to get comfy getting my feet under the table as it were, but then somebody senior resigned. I was in the right place at the right time to capitalise and got offered their role, but the role is a permanent site base role in Paris (Nanterre) so going to be relocating over there, so reluctantly this will have to go as cant take it with me.

Have you tried driving in Paris ....They are complete lunatics and nutters, it wouldnt last two minutes over there I go for the brake pedal and brace everytime I am in a taxi.
I will be getting a company car when over there, so wont matter if it gets involved with a bit of dogfighting .
For coming back to UK will just commute on the Eurostar and probably buy myself a two wheel toy

My new Ride
Hi guys thought I should show you my ride, got it a few months ago and love it.
Can't stop buying things for it, got a Blitz dump valve (some people won't approve), induction kit and 3in exhaust.
I've got plans to de-tango it will upload pics in a few days.

When I first read your post...
"A video of mine on the dyno at TDi producing 264bhp & 263ft lbs at the wheels"
...I thought hang on a minute. My wagon is putting out 269/250... and then I re-read those magic words... "at the wheels"
Nice.

Just like my old DBM wagon. There's something about the blue and a de-tango that just works.
Thought it was my old car for a minute... and then saw the side/rear skirts were not painted. This IMHO is well worth doing.
