Your researcher is about as up to date as Blair's WMD dodgy dossier....

PS. It's Almondbury. 'Hormondbury' is a crime in our area.....

The researcher is from Barnsley and has been known to visit that Post Office place with all the Nova boys
Good lad though, usually
Wednesday sounds mardy farne to me. Have to get clearance from she who must be annoyed as it's one of our joint days off (a bit like your sat/sun, but we're wierd
)What's the maximum sentence for 'Hormondburying' and does it require clothing

How much more was it to Puuuurrrrrrchase?
I guess... quite a bit...!
There's a proposed XMAS BIG ONE being discussed HERE with a possible date of the 18th. How would everyone feel about attending this after the karting
I think it would make for a cracking pre-xmas Scooby day providing the karting is scheduled for early/mid afternoon.
Open to the floor.....

Chris, I have a sore **** and aching legs
Apple... God only knows what you're gonna do with that last statement...
Hawk, so it's like 300ish BHP plus a Steak and Kidney. Any peas with that?

Cos I'm bored, and have nowt better to do, I've implemented a basic scoring system for rating the potential new venues. Each will be marked out of 10 on the following points;
Car Park - Taking into account; size - 'cos we all need to fit, quality - 'cos we don't want to be paddling in muddy puddles, and lighting - 'cos it's dark at night, and we want to ba able to see each other (or not?) and security.
Interior size - 'cos if there's a lot of us turn up we want to ensure that we're gonna fit
Interior quality - Accounting for variables like atmosphere, smokiness, rowdiness(!)
Management flexibility - Discounts, kids policy, etc.
Tottyometer - for the single guys, 'cos you never know
Accessibility - Higher points will be awarded for somewhere that has potential for a 'spirited' drive to and from, less for somewhere at the side of the M1!
So, using the above system, here are my scores for Thursday's four pubs...
The Village, Normanton
Car Park - 7/10
Interior size - 7/10
Interior quality - 4/10
Management flexibility - 0/10
Tottyometer - 6/10
Accessibility - 1/10
Trading Post, Whitwood
Car Park - 9/10
Interior size - 8/10
Interior quality - 7/10
Management flexibility - 8/10
Tottyometer - 4/10
Accessibility - 1/10
The Post Office, Haigh
Car Park - 7/10
Interior size - 4/10
Interior quality - 3/10
Management flexibility - So potentially bad, we didn't even ask!!!
Tottyometer - 8/10, but they were all with their b/f's
Accessibility - 1/10
Black Bull, Midgeley
Car Park - 4/10
Interior size - 8/10
Interior quality - 8/10
Management flexibility - 8/10
Tottyometer - 5/10
Accessibility - 5/10
All IMHO, feel free to conduct your own research and post here.
Disclaimer: As my missus often pops on SN from time to time, I would like to point out that the Tottyometer ratings were scored by er...Dave... er... Dazza.... er... Chris... Actually, it was a joint effort, er... with a view to er... *digs hole a little deeper*

As far as I was concerned, the tottyometer was into negative scoring at each venue. In fact in at least two places I reckon we'd have been better off with Hugie Green's Clapometer.....

I merely nodded so as not to offend. Then legged it as fast as my XTR and Middleburn combo allowed....

and there's me thinking it sounded good........... I may now have to rethink the name......... cheers harry
ding ding and in the red corner there's hawk & the mauler
and in the blue corner there's sticky & bi-sexual or should that be "yellow stick & bi sexual"
guess mine does sound better in that instance though

Wrong on all counts. Sorry my spelling let me down again, it should have been buy-sexual, as it's the only way I get any.
As for a name for the car...
Adolf. Modern form of the Germanic name Adalwolf, which meant "noble wolf" from the Germanic elements adal meaning "noble" and wulf. Association with Adolf Hitler has lessened the use of this name. (NO ****!!!)
Richard... Means "brave power", derived from the Germanic elements ric "power, rule" and hard "brave, hardy". The Normans introduced this name to Britain. It was borne by three kings of England including Richard the Lionheart, leader of the Third Crusade in the 12th century.
'Klaus Hergersheimer' Cue anyone who's sad enough to tell me the name of a film with that character...(no Googling, HB and IMDB won't work, 'cos I've tried it
)
