What do you want it for Andy? The turbo? It's really shlte quality mate and is filthy from being on my garage floor and being trooden on.
5m of Cooltek is only £9 new.
Or you can buy 3mm stuff from Think Auto for a couple of pennies extra per metre.

my headers are slip jointed, so Ive ceramic coated them and wrapped them as best I could.
but I need to fit them and adjust the slip joint before tightening.
then (in situ) Ineed a few metres to cover/wrap the slip jointed area.
I have a couple of m's of agriemach judo belt for the turbo
much thicker

Just found it. Do you mean TOTB?
If I'm clear of hill climbs might make it but it is my daughters 20th that weekend.

Hadn't really considered it at all tbh. 
The sole purpose of this exercise was to enable me to whoop the local Evo. 
Will check tonight to see if i'm offshore or not.

I'll check with my entertainments co-ordintor this evening. I think i'm offshore for the last two weeks of each month for most of this year though. 
Fookin knackered after all the beasting i did yesterday so things were a little slow today...
Got the up-pipe pulled up and stuck the turbo on - much easier to aim the oil return without the studs there although the most forwardly bolt was a PITA.
Downpipe on.
Running.
The car was almost engulfed in smoke from the wrap/paint. Initially the exhaust sounded as though it was leaking but i double-checked the bolts and i think it's just the sound of the headers... I certainly can't feel any leaks, will triple check tomorrow. They sound quite raspy at idle.
Big guns back on.
The headlights are coming out for tarty reasons anyway but it leaves a good view as to how much air i'm hoping the shield will deflect the way of the filter.
I lost my headlight washers donkeys ago when i swapped to a MY99/00 bumper. Seeing as the pump/button etc is already there and provided i can find sufficient pipework i'm going to try and knock something up in the way of an intercooler water spray system.

Ahhh, the sweet memories...
My headers on start-up sounded leaking to me too (might have been the effects of the fumes that engulfed me from the wrap/paint. I actually went light headed and lost my voice the following day...

Gasket alert ! Not sure about that type of exhaust gasket you have on the turbo inlet, I had real problems with that type on the gruppe-s headers and fitting std subaru steel shim gaskets solved the problem. May just have been my dodgy headers.....hope so !Andy

What do you mean by problems Andy? The only reason i used it was to fill the gap a little between the up-pipe and the brackets. I have a new Subaru gasket here, running out of time to get it changed now though.
Graham, you have Gruppe S headers, which did you use? I've got a feeling i know the answer already but have to ask!
Will double check everything tomorrow from cold anyway...

Sorry Carl, i re used the Subaru gasket off my stock turbo.
The Gaskets i had with the headers just didn't look right to me, and the stock ones came off so cleanly, just wiped the faces in thinners and re used them. Same went for the heads to manifold gaskets.
The Gruppe S / Helix up pipe has a 2 bolt flange where yours is welded by the flex joint, so i used the Subaru gasket there to.
The Turbo/up pipe flange was not perfectly flat, about 0.3 mm dish, so used the more accomodating srock gasket.
No joint blows and I think the system has seen 1.5 bar, certainly a fat 1.4 bar.

After the issues i had with the up-pipe the last time i had a really good feel around the up-pipe to turbo flange and couldn't feel anything...? No real pressure in there though. To pile on the misery i used the supplied gaskets on the head-manifold flanges too.
Will see how i get on with the AVC-R tomorrow. Can't see it being a quick job though which leaves Friday (busy elsewhere Thursday) to get everything sorted. That was going to be my day to sort the niggly jobs. I may try and get the car driveable and use it on off-boost Thursday, see how everything beds in...

Carl, do as you say, let it all bed-in.
After the first runs and before the RR day, I checked all nuts on the headers to see if anything had eased off, but everything was tight.
At tickover there is no pressure on the system, so really you will never know if it leaks a bit, only if it is a lot!
Keep going. Fix it if you have to and not before.

Been having nightmares about this last night...
Cheers Graham. I'm going to get what i can done today. I figure it'll take a morning/afternoon to swap the gaskets if i need to which should hopefully be do-able on Friday. I've already checked the head-manifold studs circa four times with the torque wrench both hot and cold.

The paste I've used in the past dries so bloody quickly you would never get the flanges together and all the other bits linked (ie water hoses to the turbo body, WHO put that there?) before it set, looking like the Alps, solid.
Don't worry, be happy.(should enlarge THAT and stick it on everything I look at..)

Decided this morning i wasn't going to be happy until i changed the gasket so rather than delay it until Friday why not get on with it right away? In the end it took around two hours so all in all not too bad.
New Subaru gasket with a smear of paste either side
You can see where the Megan one had been blowing.
Car sounds alot better with the new gasket although i am tempted to do the head-manifold ones also. Going to Aberdeen tomorrow so will pop in past Subaru to see if they still have the gaskets i ordered 2 months ago.
So, onto the AVC-R! Could anyone who has fitted one of these before please pay close attention and make sure i am doing/have done everything correctly?
I find a drawing always helps, no matter how crap it is.
Air inlet bunged.
I mounted the solenoid in place of the OE one and cable tied that to the inner wing (still electrically connected). I presume it's ok to leave the OE solenoid completely unplumbed as it is?
Compressor outlet to 'NO' port and actuator to 'COM'.
Then it started to **** down. I made up the pressure switch, where on earth do people mount these? 
I'm useless when it comes to putting things like this in the engine bay. FSE/Defi boost module/ACV-R solenoid all spring to mind!
So spent the rest of the day knocking up a rickity bracket to mount the unit on...
The car also got minor facelift for 2005 today.
I've got a shopping list as long as my arm for Halfords tomorrow. Mainly bits and pieces to get some sort of IC water spray in place. I'd quite like to use the holes in the Zero Sports TMIC Duct to mount some ordinary washer jets in for the time being. Not ideal i know, but it should do until some STi jets arrive? I just want to be able to drench the intercooler.

Try using misting jets for micro irigation garden systems. They will give a fine mist which is better than drenching the i/c. The mist evaporates faster and shifts more heat/energy than a drenching.
