Thats just like saying a team that wins 3:0 as apposed to 1:0 is better, even though they both get 3 points.

Fans are fans, regardless of origin.

Maybe cause I support my local team unlike you, Imagine if all the local people in S****horpe actually supported the club, they might actually go and do something to shout about too. Instead you find it easier to be a sheep

A psychologist now are we

Doubt Scunny will ever do anything to shout about (bar the season in the Championship) considering the population is around 72,000 and they don't have a sugar daddy to bankroll us.

Yawn. Next statement.

Wigan only have an 81k population. (Fine they do have a sugar daddy)

Oh and its attitudes like that which mean S****horpe will always struggle....

Wigan are amongst a big catchment area.

Good result for my (unsupported) home town team last night, especially considering the size of the Latics possible fan base eh?

Wheres Tanya, bet she's impressed too.

3 minutes - niiice

Sorry dave, what I was referring to was a previous comment you made. Something about if more people like me supported our local team etc. we may achieve something. Whereas a team like Oldham who have a much bigger catchment area so thus potentially more fans, profound history, generally bigger club etc. lost to them. < so could easily be construed as achieving something, without people like "me" supporting our local team.

(for the record I do follow Scunny and attend matches occasionally - but only as a second thought).

I just found it amusing as your men got beat thats all, and wished to state it in text, on here.

Fire away, as I'm not interested

Yeah ok then. Youre not interested my ar$e, looking for a bite, that much is pretty obvious, well here we go then. Potentially more fans? We've never had a massive fan base, apart from when we hit the Premiership and glory supporters tagged along. Everyone in Oldham supports either Man United, Man City, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale, Stockport, Burnley, Blackburn. And thats before we bring in clubs further than 10 miles away from our ground like Liverpool, Chelsea etc. So in terms of a well supported club, Oldham are no different to S****hope. Now remind me how many "big" or any other clubs at all for that matter, surrounds S****horpe within a 10 mile radius?

Profound history? We havent achieved anything of greatness. Couple of good seasons under Joe Royle is about as far as I can stretch our history of greatness.

Thanks for taking your time to check your local teams results though I'll be sure to mock when I have the oportunity next time

Sure. I was simply just pointing out that Im under no illusion that Oldham are well supported (apart from away from home, we're one of the best in the 92 clubs for away support) or indeed a big club, we are minnows and I fully accept that so trying to wind me up that way would never work. I hear it at least once a week from all sorts. Remember, we've been stuck in League one for 13 years now Its become a way of life for us

It did ruffle you feathers though, or you wouldn't have responded so seriously

I'll wait until Utd get battered - one day

Jeez I still remember being behind that goal when Hughsey equalised in the 94th minute of the FA Cup Semi, what a buzz, I nearly fell out of the Olympic gallery with excitement, god that must be 15 years now, how time flies eh !!

But you havent ruffled my feathers. Thats my point, (the result aside) your points we're all irrelevant. My serious post was just trying to put you straight in regards to your, well supported points etc. The result, well, I cant argue that and you'll notice I didnt bite on that because I knew that was the main wind up part and I have no reply for the poor performance put in last night. It was, to put bluntly, pathetic and fustrating.

I dont mind the banter and ribbings. I quite enjoy it, hell I troll enough Man United threads but people like Funkii and StiWS have stopped biting cause they just know what Im up to now and humour me back

Now he is on a wind up and has just ruined my WHOLE day. Thats a United fan who knows how to get up an Oldham fans nose

Thanks

Just think, if Hughes never scored that goal, where would United be now because Fergie was almost surely going to get sacked

Common ground Dave, and the reason I post in here and not in NSR, as its light hearted here - nasty there.

I thought that was the Mark Robin goal from the F.A. Cup third round match against Notts Forest?

I wont even entertain the Scholesy (along with many more young talents) debate Just a shame we never had the players in our first team to do any good or at least be cashed in on.

And dont expect us to feel sorry for you with the time difference, its bloody cold here

Hope youre having fun out there
