You know what I mean I am not talking about hoolies, just the healthy rivalries.

Sorry Angry - I thought you were talking about rivals in a footballing sense.

I've almost forgotten Spurs as footballing rivals (apart from the fact they give you a six point start each season just to try and screw us ).

I've only ever called Utd scum on here as a result of watching everybody except FM (apparently ) get so upset by it.

I don't hate anyone (that I've not met in person ).

I do but it's just I'm sure kids hear the parents saying they hate X,Y, Z and it filters through. I love the banter that goes with football, it's just some people take it far too seriously eg a Leeds fan in our office who will not have anything red in her house I was tempted to go and plant some red bulbs in her lawn that once in bloom would spell "I love Man Utd"

Firstly congrats to the gooners who managed 49 league games unbeaten, quite simple amazing. An achievement that will be remembered forever. (and without the tainting of plenty of luck the United treble a few years ago is remembered by)

As for the game, Ferdinand did not deserve to be sent off, Rooney dived (see replay from behind - no contact at all), overall I think a draw was the fair result.

It was no surprise that United targeted Reyes - I think Riley lost the plot by not booking Gary Neville early on, almost inviting them to target the flair players in the only way they know now - fouls. I was dissapointed in the way Vieira always was on at the ref, rise above it Pat.

Pires took a dive to get us a draw against Portsmouth last year so these things even up.

There's no point talking about Cole's challenge later to 'even' it up because all that happened after the incorrect penalty decision is irrelevant, we were pressing for the equaliser.

There was a time a few years ago when United v Arsenal matches were a pleasure to watch, the best of british football with class, skill, flair etc. Now it seems that United have to resort to a different type of game to get a result and that's the shame. Until they can come out and try to take us on by playing the beautiful game like us they will from now on always be behind us.

As for the title, Chelsea are still my main worry by far.

And as for rivals, manure / chelscum are only rivals due to form, our true rivals are our poor cousins down the road...

I find the scum remark funny, its the only thing you ever hear from opposing fans. You would have thought that there would be a funnier/wittier nickname than scum or manure.

Like I say there are few fans I know who see Arsenal as rivals worthy of our erm "passion" simply because of our preoccupation with the murkeydivers.

Maybe in football terms there isn't much between us and because of that we are semi rivals, but there is also not much between us and Chelsea, and although they are rent boys, we don't hate them either (much )

Hate is a strong word, but I've no doubt that most of the Arsenil fans or mickeys I "hate" I would probably get on well with and have some good banter. In fact, one of my old flatmates when I lived in London was a serious gooner and we had a right laugh, even went to the Charity shield with him a couple of years back. Despite the "hate" between us on matchday sat next to each other we still had a laugh.

I am sorry but if "your" game is so beautiful, why could you not hit the target?

I'm my experience I have found that Redkop seems to have an excellent grip on reality when it comes to the beautiful game and Manchester Uniched .

All this "we're better than everyone else because we won the treble 5 years ago" and "we can still beat the best team in England if we hoof them up in the air cos our mate the ref will let us" bollox from the bitter Utd fans is sad really .

You used to be able to claim you were the best team in England (and Europe despite the lucky CL win - you were still the best team that year).

Now you are third best (maybe).

I wonder if you'll still be saying "we were the best team in Europe" in twenty years time

Thanks jasey I admit I have a healthy dislike for Man U, what Liverpool fan doesn't? Lets not forget that Man U fans started all the 'hate' when they were in obscurity for 26 years and L'pool were winning practically everything, their jealousy was there for all to see.

I do not see the need either, to resort to calling Man U 'scum' on a public bb, nor make remarks like put all the scousers in the middle of a bonfire....

Some of my closest mates are Man U fans, hell even my hubby is an avid fan of them

If you're quick enough you can get 5 points per shot - which makes up for the misses

Besides - Us Ar$e's have had more practice at soup flinging than you lot .

and Europe despite the lucky CL win
If Arsenal could have scored two goals in three minutes on Sunday they could have got a draw

Well if Liverpool fans can go on about how good they "were" then don't see why Man U fans can't

Yeah Charlie - But if Arsenal had scored two goals Riley would have scored off one of them and sent off the player who scored for having the audacity to score against the third greatest team in Man Utd's history .

The longer Utd fans wallow in their self-pity the better for us - We can then concentrate on beating the challengers for the PL - you know - Everton, Bolton & Chelsea .

So if Man U weren't playing dirty, how come RVN has been pleaded guilty of 'Serious Foul Play' and been banned for 3 games by the FA for his tackle on Ashley Cole? This IMO proves that Riley was biased, as anything deemed as Serious Foul Play is an instant red card in my book... Riley never even booked him
