Uploadimages seems to have gone TU. Fixed now!

TRF, unfortuantely I don't know where you can get them. I got given a pad of them a few years back by a friend. Maybe I could scan one at hi res for future reproduction!

ajm - Class form. I think I might have to get my DTP software out and knock one up, though I'd add a little something to it:

"Payment of £20 will cancel any legal action. Please leave payment in white envelope under windscreen wiper and an operative will collect"

last time I got clamped I got a taxi home, got the stihl saw out of the garage, went back to the car park and promptly cut it off, and made sure it wasnt going to be used again .

(probably not legal and im not saying you should do this) (but it was fun specially as i didnt get done for it)

but you ought to have seen the guys face he was nearly crying. (it was funny)

mind you he was bang out of order clamping me, and he refused to remove it even when i explained why I was parked where i was parked. so there no way i was paying £75!!

Red face

Thanks all

i am looking for a case or law stating what level of sticky glue can be used on the side window, as it is not possible to remove it at the site it is applied without carrying thinners and cloths in your car

The sticker is paper with very strong glue so any attempt to remove the paper leaves a glue paper mess

So, let me get this right.

- Your employer provides free parking.

- You can't get a space

- You park in an unauthorised zone in the complete knowledge that you are wrong

- You get a sticker on the window (that will come off in 2 minutes with the appropriate Stain Devil (tm) adhesive remover)

- You bitch and moan about it, and want to formally complain thus shafting your prospects with your employer as a "troublemaker".

Unless you are contractually entitled to a space in the carpark, get a life

Alternative is driving home again, much worse with the employer, If you read earlier, the problem has arisen from the intorduction of the green bays which removes parking spaces, as they are not filled there is no where to park leaving about 50 free spaces in the green bay

So why don't a number of you suggest to your employer that there are too many green bay spaces, instead of banging on about your "rights" then?

A petition has gone around with 500+ signatures, which has meant they are looking into approving more permits and another bus, this does not immediatly fix the problem until people who can use the bus do, it still doesnt help me until then

What i want is some rule/law that says the sticker on the car must be either easily removable or not in the line of sight

Assuming that they won't change their policy then work to rule. Just go off at lunch break to buy the items needed to remove the sticker (making sure you take the full hour for your lunch as well). Then spend THEIR time removing it rather than at your work. Then expense the materials back to them. Simple.
