TerryB,

I was looking at going on a driving holiday myself sometime next year. I have read through the link that was posted and its totally blown me away. I have not been in that area since I was a child but have always planned to go back.

I have popped you an email.

Watched a program of the Cananball 8000 last night, followed two cars in the event from London to Monte Carlo. One car broke down before Paris (J reg Nissan Pulsar GTiR) while the other (Lambo Diablo SV) driver was arrested by French police and spend some time in Jail.

From looking at the website: "The Cannonball 8000 starts on the 17th of September and runs over the next 48 hours of the 17th and 18th of September 2005."

Maybe best to avoid that weekend then!

Chris - you're on the list now matey

K Duraman - this can't be done any later then planned - as the Stelvio Pass is closed in October onwards as it will be full of snow... - so early to mid september to be on the safe side - and avoiding all the holiday makers.
