CTR steering is very strange, I'm going to get the geom done on it to try and improve the feel and precision.

The 182 is almost a definite now.. From those two at least I have chucked a couple more into the mix now but I'll save those for another time..
You lot have been a lot of help, even if that help turned me away from the car I quite fancied!

Geometry has always been a big issue on the CTR. If you are getting the geo done, dont take it to honda, trust me.
If the steering in the CTR was as good as the 182, the CTR would be the car for me, no doubts. I even test drove the revised CTR, and still was not impressed by the steering feel. At the end of the day, honda dont give a toss anyway, they are selling loads of the bloody things.
I paid £12200 for my 182 UK model delivery miles with cup packs. and to be perfectly honest i dont think it is any less of a car over a 3 year period than the 4k more i would have paid for a new CTR. More than happy with it.

Talizman - I test drive the CTR and my other choice was the Leon Cupra R. On the drive the CTR seemed live withable and I was part-ex'ing a Kia Sorento (big 4WD, 2.5 Diesel) which I had got instead of my 02 WRX (I thought it would tow well and be a more 'sensible' option) so the CTR seemed fast in anygear and at any rev's.
What I found was that life after the Scooby was a hard act to follow and being sensible and driving a tall, slow, 4wd, diesel wasn't for me. I only owned that for four months.
Anyway, always been a fan of high revving engines so wanted to experience the CTR and I do like it but I like the look of a MY05 STI even more.
Fortunately I'm in the position where although it will cost me a bit the company I work for funds most of the car (opted out of the car scheme) so other than inconvenience I can swap when I like, although a couple of months is too short really I just can't get a Crystal Grey MY05 STI out of my bloody head!.
Anyway, back on topic. I would suggest anyone considering either the Clio or the CTR to take long test drives. Both are probably great, fast, cars but offer the performance in slightly different ways.
