Mike here from Escort Underground (www.escortunderground.com), I have to say that this meet has to be one of the most selfless meets I've ever heard about. Reading about the cause and seeing you guys shine through is inspirational to say the least. Props to you guys.
You are a community that most car clubs and social groups strive to be. Congradulations, you have succeded.

Congrats from MMC New Zealand
What can I say,
Totally blown away by the generosity of everyone. It goes to show that most people with performance cars are decent loving individuals.
best wishes Jesse, from everyone at the Mitsubishi Motorsport club of New Zealand http://www.mmc.org.nz

Jesse's bash!
Abso-bloomin-lutely fab!
Had to sign up just to send this messege (spose its one way of increasing your membership!! )
On behalf of Shire (not-so high performance!) Land Rover Club, congratulations on pulling off what must have been a superb experience for everyone involved.
I haven't read this entire thread, and I'm sure somebody has already said it, but it's things like this that make you realise that what a damn fine bunch of people us car enthusiasts are, trouble is all we ever get is bad press.
Best wishes Jesse
SIDC... I salute you!!

Hi guys. I registered just so I could let you guys know how much respect and admiration you've recieved from all us Ford freaks in the US at the www.stangnet.com forums. You really changed this kid's life, and you can all be assured you have a spot saved for you all in heaven.
Peace,
Stan

Having just read all the thread and shown it to the Mrs we both thought about what a nice change it makes to hear about something good for once with so much evil in the news constantly. Certainly stirred the old tears at times. Also shows performance cars arn't all about breaking speed limits and breaking the law which is what so many people wrongly associate our cars with.
Best wishes to Jesse and his family

Hello to everyone at Scoobynet,
it's Mark Riccioni from Max Power Magazine here (i know alot of you won't be interested in it!)
anyway, i've read through all the pages, and it's an absolutely incredible story, both the huge turnout, commitment and support shown by you subaru owners, not to mention to worldwide publication it's gathered.
i'll have a word tomorrow, i rekon it'd make a great story, showing how one group of subaru enthusiasts have achieved so much, the shot of all the cars lined up is just amazing.
i'll get back to you with any information, definately worth a story (even though i am a little late!)
cheers, -Mark Riccioni

I'm totally gobsmacked, that was a truly wonderful and selfless gesture by all who were there and helped with the organisation.
I'm sorry I could not have been there.
Well done to all involved in making jesse and his family so happy.
My faith in humanity is being restored more and more each day when I read articles like this.
Thank you for reminding me that not everyone is selfish and heartless and that the world is still a nice place to live

again thank you all for your support. A lot of subaru owners are reading this forum too,and they are really deeply touched about it. (forgive me if I write some words wrong)
Love and best wishes for all of you all over the world. This is amazing!!!!

Anyway, to the point: I was utterly awestruck seeing this thread. Flabbergasted, blown away. A BIG thank you to everyone who participated or wanted to participate. It is not just about Jesse, I think everyone who even heard of this have gained something.
P.S. Subaru is my favourite car now.
From Estonia with love

[QUOTE=Els]Hey, don`t give up on the boy yet. That`s the absolute worst thing you could do to him. The doctors are NOT someone to listen to - believe me. Or read "The story of Evald Krog" if I am not an authority enough to be believed Actually, everyone go and it, it`s a great book.
I havent givin up on Jesse, just being realistic. We have done everything possible to help him,now we are doing everything possible to give him a very good and full life. Sometimes you have to say : o.k this is it,no more hospitals no more tests no more pain. And let him live!!!!
thank you for your kind words and concern,it means a lot.

I apologise if I was a bit too straightforward. I have a muscle disease myself, a deteriorating one, but I think it is important not to pay too much attention to it. You see: one shouldn`t be unhappy about not being able to, let`s say, walk. People can`t fly, but they do not feel depressed because of that, now do they?
You seem like a great mother. Just remember not to be too overprotective or anything... Let Jesse be as independent as possible, because that is the main thing that can help him.
Sorry if I`m not making much sense
Have a good day.

that is ok els
I understand what you mean. We don't protect Jesse at alle,he lives the same life as his 2 other brothers. And he is enjoying every day. We don't think alot of his short life,we just take it one day at a time. But sometimes it just hits a little harder than other days. Hopefully you have a great life too,and enjoy that you are here. You seem like a very nice person. take care with love micaela

tears in my eyes.
What a wonderful boy and his mom, and Subarists who showed up for Jesse.
This story is moving people's heart around the world.
I cant even imagine how Jesse felt seeing all the Subarus in front of him.
Cheers from Tokyo Japan and www.i-club.com of USA
