This is correct, for the RS day we were strictly limited on the number of cars that were allowed on site so we sold all passes up front (including spectator passes). In the morning we turned away a number of cars who hadn't bought passes, but by the afternoon some people had gone home so it wasn't as strict.

I wish you all the best for this Saturday and i'll be praying for the good weather so you all have a good day on what is a fantastic track!

I think it will depend when Bedford make the final decision. If they make it too early then we may be out of luck. As you say it looks more promising for friday / saturday though....im sure we will be ok though

I thin if they get the 4 or 5 inches of snow which is forecast then it will take more than one day at 3 degrees to get rid of that ....

I'm resigned to the fact that it just aint happening .......

I live about 15 miles North West of Bedford Autodrome and all weather forecasts for our area tend to be overly pessimistic.

When rain is forecast, we usually don't get any, when heavy snows are forecast we get a light splattering only.

The weather that we are experiencing in our area at the moment seems to be following a familiar annual pattern. We awoke yesterday morning to about an inch of snow with the forecasters predicting freezing and further heavy snowfall during the day (Wednesday). That never really happened. For tonight they are again forecasting much snow. This could well arrive by the morning. If it does, then that will be the second successive day of snowfall around here. This is usually followed by a fairly rapid thaw, possibly a little rain, and by Saturday, we shall be wondering what all the fuss had been about.

For all of our sakes, with Track Day in mind, I hope that my observations come good.

Think positive!

Kazik

I'm not looking forward to scraping around in the snow tomorrow changing my wheels and then in the pouring rain or snow on Saturday and then changing them back on Sunday in the snow!!

Phil... will we get the use of the garages?? there were rumours about it last year but we didn't get them in the end... I don't fancy leaving wheels, sexhaust bits, food etc, lying around in the rain / snow :-(

Thumbs up

I live v.v close to track and had no issues this morning, snow but nothing to deep, so Im sure you will be fine.

BTW if a place becomes available can someone email me. Thanks

On the garages front Im not sure if they have started it yet but they are knocking them down and building something new, so different pits to usual possibly.

If you look back up on this thread I think you will find that the garages are going to be open. Phil has already confirmed this.
So yes there will be room for your sarnies etc

Gutmann Pug...

the garages were promised last year as well and when I asked a member of staff they basically said you are using the garages... ie... the pit lane

Weather seems to be following my expected pattern. Conditions at moment. at 19.00hrs, Thursday 24th Feb., earlier sleet/rain has stopped and clouds have lifted suggesting possibility of freezing tonight. Outside temp. at the moment is 0.7 degrees C.

Here at Wellingborough, things looking promising for Saturday at Bedford. We could even get blue sky and some sunshine.
