But the £100 method (probably less actually) they dont have to dig about inside. Just an arms length and in 1 second or less the tracker is useless.
I agree with the sentencing thing - something really has to be done about car crime now, its getting like South Africa here.

Problem with Tracker is you don't know if it's working or not. Called them 3 days ago to ask if they could do a test to make sure my unit's working as it’s 14 months old – I assumed they could do a remote test in a few seconds - only to be told that it'd cost £80 and I'd have to take it to a specialist to check it.
They said the units sometimes stop working if the battery etc has been disconnected for a while and if your car's had work done at a garage, and if they needed to disconnect the battery, that they should test the system after the work's complete. How many garages are trained in this – not many I bet!
Once the scum have broken in to your house, would you really want the car back and risk it happening again or would you rather buy a less noticeable car? We need stiffer sentences for sure to act as a deterrent.
Anyone read today’s Metro – article about an old man who stabbed a guy to death with a 20cm kitchen knife. He only got 5 years. What kind of punishment is that for a lost life? <rant over>

The only way to do it is have a mate install the system (ex-Porsche electronics technician and Trackstar main dealer - obviously) - mine is literally all over the car and took about 3.5 hours to fit as opposed to the usual hour or so ......
- Should take the buggers a bit longer!!!
I hope they find these scum
Personally my favourite punishment would be to put them in a raft in the middle of the North Sea in a reasonable storm ..... at night ..... in winter ...... if they survive the night they can swim home ....

I've said it before on threads like this : Clifford Blackjaxx all the way. If I could have only one security system on my car, this would be it. Its far better than any tracker or immobiliser, IMO.

Agree that something needs to be done - you can bet these people were armed, so they get charged for armed robbery of £25+k.
10 years inside, put them in the wing where they keep a few known homesexuals and no guards.
As usual, the annoying thing is, that if Darren had been in and sorted them out with a baseball bat etc, he'd be already locked up for assault.. Fvcking madness.
Group buy on stun guns anyone? Police come round - "what happened to him?" "dunno officer, he just fell over......"
Hope you get it sorted Darren.

Trouble is when you do go after the cvnts with a baseball bat, you get done. I did
Saw the guy breaking in, let him get into the car and smacked him around the back of the knees with the baseball bat. Restrained him with my mate and held him til police arrived. Police get me, handcuff me, walk the other guy to a police car asking him does he wants to press charges. I get thrown in cells, he gets a warning and let off. Guess who got the criminal record

I suppose we have to assume that as the car has not been found yet, the tracker has been disabled or doesn't work!?? I thought these things could be tracked within a few minutes, after which the police would go and recover the vehicle, or am I completely wrong!!!

Customscoobyiom, You should have put the scumbag in the boot of your car and 'hidden' him somewhere reservoir dogs stylee, or driven him to a lake/gravel pit many miles away and taught him to swim.
Perhaps a teenyweenie bit draconian but the law is an *** in some cases.
