Harpenden Sunday 26th
cool....I'll be up for that! Was in Harpenden tonight checking out the fair
gutter-rat: haven't forgotten mate, been ill this week but back to work today
would like to drive by sometime next week - at least then I'll know at least one friendly face for the Harpenden meet 
(not saying the rest of you ain't friendly

Pubs in Harpenden
Evening
I've decided to take on the tough duty of pub hunting in Harpenden this weekend so will let you guys know what i find. criteria i guess is large car park, good steaks and good beer
have one in mind but cant remember the name so i will take a drive down there are post map later

Old Bell Sunday the 26th
Hi,
Right i had a drive around Harpenden and the Old Bell on the A1081 Luton road is the best bet.
It has a large car park, nice food and beer and they open at 12 noon on Sunday. I reserved a table for 15 people just incase its busy.
I will post multimap directions and a link later.

If your coming from the South, ie St Albans direction you need to go through Harpenden town all the way until you go under the railway tunnel. The pub is then 100 metres or so on your left.
From the North, Luton direction you need to come into Harpenden. Go over the mini roundabouts and carry straight on. The pub will be on your right 100 metres or so before the tunnel.

Hehe, sorry i did mean railway bridge. Its still big enough to rev my engine and hear that lovely rumble from the hypermuffler tho!!

What will parking be like at this pub ?
I know the car park is big, but whenever Ive gone past it always seems full.
There always seems to be various school run 4x4's parked up on kerbs etc
(or is this because they always park like that? )
