Sorry to hear you had your car stolen. The stupid chav scum want hanging.

Bladerider, I was followed by a dark BMW recently... from Atherton to St Helens when I was in my Celica.... but it eventually turned off. Probably nothing, as how many dark colours BMW's are hanging around.

Has anybody heared about a Saxo on it's roof in Howebridge? I drove past it today on my way home from work. It was just before you get to howebridge sports centre on the left, and you turn right to get to lovers lane... and it was when you turn right up there.

It was a Saxo in somebody's front garden...

Andy10, I think you drove past me last weekend. I was down the side of my neighbours house giving a lad from further down the road a jump start on his old rusty golf....lol

Thats right outside my sisters house, I'll ask her about it when I see her..

Saw a white early STi (I think..) classic about 9:30ish turning right at the bottom of Princess Ave onto Manchester Road. Anyone?

Anyone know Jol? Blue stickered up classic?

Another stickered up classic? Out of order. They will have to un-sticker it.
Only seen 3 blue stickered up scoobs around here. One in Walkden which is a bugeye, mine and an asian lad in Bolton (Daubhill area) in a classic who is ultra friendly (waves and flashes)- his lights that is.

More than likely. Go down to Leigh East on Saturdays. Last week about 12.30 to 1.00pm. Sunday was shopping day, unusual for us. Thank god for internet shopping and home delivery. Lynne agrees. Wife who loves sports, drink , fast cars and also hates shopping. Can't complain. (she can still nag though).

That's the one. I've seen it moving once. May have the windows done there if price is reasonable. Wish I'd seen that shop before doing my own. Couldn't find anyone around here who would do them at the time. Found loads after I'd done them.

You will have to tell me where that is. I want my windows tinting and so far have neen quoted £250 for the car, but he's in Liverpool area so it's a bit of a trek really.
I tried doing my own but I kept screwing it up

calorgaz, was £250 for tinting all the windows apart from the front windscreen?

I want to get all my 3 rear quarter windows tinted in Limo black on my Celica, but don't know how much it's going to cost to get it done professionally. There is that tinting place in Leigh, around the 1 was system where I think Arriva buses depot use to be? I don't know how good they are there though, but might take a trip up for a quote.

Does anybody know how long on average they need your car for to tint the windows?

R34, it was 250 for the rear and four doors and I probably could have got him do do a sunstrip for a bit more. That was for a 50% light smoke tint which wouuld take me over the legal limit and I'm not sure I should do it. Knowing my luck I'd get pulled as soon as I drove off He said he did a lighter tint but you hardly see it, but at least it would make smashing the windows harder for the ******* out there.

The guy said he would need the car for about 3 and a half hours to do it, so it doesn,t sould like a rush job which is a good sign i suppose. On his advert it said he was mobile but I was interupted at work when I was talking to him so I had to end the call a bit sharpish and I never asked him if he could do window tinting mobile.

I have his number at work if you want it.... maybe try and set up a group buy

I know what you mean. The windows are hard work. Once the tint is on it is on with no room for error. 3 attempts on mine. Still no window tints.

If you go up the A6 towards Walkden/Swinton then at the lights just past TESCO's turn left towards Farnworth. Go through the next set of lights and the shop is on the right hand side of the road. Quite a few small shops in a row. No idea on prices but if they have done their car they have done a good job.

Adrian,

I thought they would need the car for longer, but the less time it takes... the better (As long as it's a good job).

I'd be interested in the phone number. I only want all of my 3 rear quarter windows tinting though... but in limo black.

Cheers,
-Elliot

The tinting place in Walkden with the stickered up Impreza outside, the phone number is 01617993713.

Before I got my windows done a couple of years ago, I phoned around to find a place that could do the rear window as a single sheet. That way I could gauge how professional they were. I knew it could be done, but most said it would be in two peices split across the middle at the window heater.
I opted for the one company Pentagon (the world leader in window tinting) that could do it properly. www.pentagonglasstech.com I believe they also to a mobile service.

jtc spotted on M62 near m61 junction today at 2.15ish. Unofficial spotting as I was in Primera when I sounded my horn. Forgot which car I was in until I sounded the horn then realised the Primera has a decent one.

You now know who that tos--r was now.

Is this the longest running "was it you"?

At 255 replies for a "was it you", maybe this topic should get it's own forum!

Saw a white classic coming out of Leigh tonight near the Police station about 7.30ish... I waved but was totally ignored (as usual being a bugeye driver )

Bladerider, was it you at Tesco roundabout today who I flashed in my Celica? I've just fitted my new Kakimoto exhaust today, which is immensely loud... and was just out test driving it.

Spotted quite a few today. Blue classic B7 *** at Kirkhall Lane lights in Leigh. Totally ignored me (as usual). Black classic on Newbrook Lane Atherton. Waved . Was this bladerider? Silver wagon in Kearsley who tried to get into my engine. Indicators are a good idea when changing lanes. There is also a thing on the side of the door called a mirror that you should look through before pulling out in front of people.
